The shop itself is small but clean, with 2 barber chairs and plenty of waiting/seating. There were plenty of locals/usuals filing in over the 20 minutes or so that I was there. The shop is in an old strip mall type of facility on North MJ Rd (Hwy 70), basically across the street from the gas station and bank. The parking lot is shared with other businesses and is one-way in/out. Larry is the nicest gentleman and was very welcoming and appreciative of my business. This must be why he said he's owned his shop there for 50 years. He knows his trade and appreciates his customers. He knew what he was doing, swiftly and professionally cut my hair, and ended the trim with a lather and neck shave. Couldn't have asked for more. Thanks to Larry and the shop. I recommend and will be back!

Right as I walked in, I got a friendly hello from a few of the staff, and my wait time was virtually non-existent. However, the real MVP of my first visit was my barber Audrey (she goes by Archery). I only had to use a few key words/phrases for her to understand the look I was going for. During my time in the chair, she was super friendly. I quickly assessed that Archery knew exactly what she was doing. Overall, fantastic first visit to the Boulevard, and definitely won't be my last. If you make this your barber, make sure you ask for Archery!

After waiting for a while, another gentleman walked in after me, and a barber immediately started cutting his hair. At that moment, I felt uncomfortable and disappointed. As someone from another country, it made me wonder if I was being treated differently based on my background. I got frustrated and decided to leave. As I was heading out, one of the barbers stopped me and asked why I was leaving. I explained the situation. He asked if I had an appointment, and I said no. He then told me I was actually next, which convinced me to come back in. While I was returning, I overheard the barber who had taken the other customer mention he had another appointment coming up. That made me feel like he was intentionally avoiding taking me as a customer. Thankfully, another barber stepped in and offered to take care of me. Derriance Hughes ended up doing my haircut and beard trim, and I have to say--he did an excellent job. I was very satisfied with the result. He was professional, attentive, and delivered exactly what I wanted. Going forward, I will return to this shop only if Derriance is available. I've taken his contact and will book appointments directly with him to avoid confusion. Overall Rating: (4/5) Great service from Derriance, but the initial experience could have been handled much better. If I experience anything like this again, I will reconsider my rating.

Unfortunately despite the "premium" label, this turned out to be the worst professional haircut I've ever received. My request was for a simple undercut using a #1 guard and to leave around 4-5" on top. You can see the results for yourself. Fortunately my wife is a dog groomer and was able to fix it somewhat in our hotel room using an electric beard trimmer. I also left covered in hair. Usually a barber would at least brush any loose hair off a customer before finishing. I will say that the barber was very nice and friendly but wow, the results were just embarrassing.
