Worst decision I ever made…read more If you want a divorce lawyer that doesn't know the law, that doesn't have time for your case, that doesn't understand the impacts of divorce on veteran's benefits (despite "specializing" in military divorce), that cannot make a coherent argument, that won't even answer your emails when the court loses your divorce decree for a month...Then you should hire Jamel Rowe at Livesay & Myers. She is, in short, completely incompetent and her response to being overwhelmed by her job is to ignore her client. She gave me terrible advice from the beginning, mishandled the actual trial, was hoodwinked by opposing counsel either for lack of attention or incompetence or both. I finally had to make demands of her superiors to get a basic response when the court lost my divorce and no one knew what the judge's final decision was. Hiring Jamel Rowe of Livesay & Myers was probably the the most catastrophically bad decision I have ever made; one I will be paying for quite literally for the rest of my life.

He is also very rude, I'm sure this isn't his first complaint about the same thing and it won't be his last. I left a google review and Mason decided that he would want to accuse me of breaking the law by intentionally not filing my returns. I had taxes sent to a separate address that I couldn't receive due to my military services which he knew but instead he wanted to publicly accuse me of doing something like that which only adds to the fact that he's extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend.

The question was about filling out the form correctly and not have to pay $395 for a consultation if I made a mistake on a form. Apparently, email questions answered by assistants cost them too much time and money. I mailed a copy of the ridiculous email I received to the lawyer, thinking surely this was a very bad employee, not reflecting the true response of the lawyer herself. But no answer. I had spoken with the lawyer previously when she was new, and she said to call her any time, I guess money changes everything. Now there is no true concern for women who need a lawyer, unless you have endless finances. Heartless. There is no trust here. Run as fast as you can! I should post the email, it is unbelievably rude. Very unprofessional, and I was cut off unless I could pay $395 to answer one question to fill out the form correctly.
