I immediately went next door, as my neighbor works in the office, and told her I needed someone to do something. This morning I called the office and my neighbor answers. When I asked what was going on she told me I would have to wait till Friday when pest control comes. First it was mice, then monster cockroaches (which I'm still battling), now it's snakes. Every time I sign up for pest control they never come. I wonder if anyone bothers to put me on the list. Needless to say I'm getting fed up here!

It wasn't incredibly luxurious, but in my budget and with a few nice amenities (free DVD rental- in which you can request new releases). The gym was fairly small and the pool unheated but clean. The putting green... well looks larger in the picture on the brochure (it's quite tiny) but I guess at least it's there. The guy running the front desk- Nigel, was very professional. He was able to handle several issues at once and I didn't have to stand around waiting to get information. He was polite about acquiring the necessary information (some other demanding contact info or identification cards in a more brutely manner). He was the only one who asked what are of the complex I would be interested in living (closer to the clubhouse, more nestled in the treeline). Most other places just throw you in where ever the next opening is, but as most real estate agents know... it's all about location! The grounds were fairly well kept, I got introduced to the maintenance man, there are new buildings in the process of being constructed with updated floorplans. All in all, it was a pleasant visit, without pushy marketing or impersonal mannerisms. I received a handwritten follow-up card on a few days later- a very nice personal touch. Seems like they run a very professional business.

We never heard from The Landing about owing anything. The complex is in such poor condition it would be difficult to charge for any damages. I would never recommend any student live at The Landing. From the office admin, Rachel, to the Property Manager, Marisa, to the Maintenance Man, Justin...each one of these individuals was incredibly helpful throughout my experience. Rachel set it off with such great and polite service greeting me in the office. Then Marisa was so helpful in calling in to maintenance for a dolly to help me with the many boxes I had to move. Finally, Justin brought the dolly right to me to use which made the move so much easier. I want to thank you all for such an easy experience and more importantly I am so happy that my daughter is living in a such a great place with such a caring staff. It's impossible to park to visit your student. My son was there for two years and had to have countless repairs made, including window replacements, where they had to stay in another apartment for a while. And then couldn't get blinds for the replacement windows for months. On top of that after move out, they charge a cleaning fee, which is warranted, but they also charged him for a piece of furniture that was broken before he got it. $100 for a chair that was already broken. I emailed the property and at least three other people trying to get this resolved and cannot get a response other than additional emails telling me to contact yet another person.

But you don't have to wake up with word of a death by shooting occurring. some of the walls are thin so you can hear your upstairs neighbors, who literally walk like elephants. But very nice appliances, okay couch, and you get a new mattress when we moved in. Only complaint is the neighbors who give noise complaints on Saturday's, as well as the thin walls. As well as the apartment being nasty when we moved in. But best bang for buck because everywhere in Greenville is pretty disgusting.
