Quality of care is phenomenal, the communication is easy and frequent. They're also considerably cheaper than most options in the area, especially for children under 2. If you are looking for early childhood care in the Niles/Morton area you should absolutely check out Mersiha!

This was my first baby and I was apprehensive about daycare; however, I went through a lot of nannies due to scheduling conflicts. When I went to Mersiha, you could tell she had a love for children and what she did for a living AND carried around a planner to set up dates far out in advance. I love how organized she is and how she interacts with kids. As a pediatric nurse with no family in the area, it was a God send to have Mersiha's family daycare around the corner. She was flexible with my crazy 12 hour shifts. She is very reliable and I have never had issues with having the coverage that I needed. Her prices are very reasonable for the area. Her attention to detail is amazing and she was even willing to support all of my first mom needs. We had an app and she would chart to appease my neurotic nursing nature. She helped me with getting Rhiley on a schedule and would alert me to any issues that were present with our little one. It's amazing how she keeps track of it all. I loved how much fun I could tell Rhiley had from spending a full day with Mersiha and the other kids. You could tell how much they both loved each other. And I loved how big of a smile Rhiley and Mersiha had when they would both see each in the morning or evening. My heart is broken that we are having to relocate but hopefully this is a see you later and not a goodbye. We miss her already and wish that we could take her with us! I highly recommend Mersiha's Family Daycare for any childcare needs that you have in the Bay Area. She is literally THE BEST!

We can rely on them to care, teach and provide him many learning experiences so he can become an independent little boy, ready for kindergarten. They helped him learn to talk more with wonderful songs, colors and shapes in Acorns, drink out of an open top cup, potty training & clean up after himself (lunch and toys) in Sprouts, learn all his letters, numbers, writing, follow direction, independence and more in Discovery and Koala classes. Each classroom has an appropriate teacher-student ratio with colorful, private rooms each with their own personality. And during the pandemic, they have kept each child and staff member safe with their rules to protect and keep the mask mandate since the kids are too young to vaccinate. Mrs. Waters and his pre-K teachers have supported our son in most his special ed needs by allowing his private therapists to come to the school. He gets SLP & OT sessions in per week while aligning with his teachers to work with his therapists which help him transition from therapy back to gym or class time. This has been such a big help to know he is getting many of his needs met. Thank you Mrs. Waters, Lynn, Brittany and all his teachers for your help, support, learning and life skills for our son throughout these years!!!

Everyone who works there that I've encountered makes the school a warm environment for my son during the day, from the director to the teachers to the kitchen and cleaning staff. He's now in the preschool program for 3-4 year olds & he loves it. The teachers are very well-qualified and have the patience of saints. The daily reports are a great reference for me when I pick him up, so I can better understand how he spent his day and what lessons they covered from one day or week to the next. Since he started there in November, I can see his self-confidence growing and his social development and conceptual skills have increased tremendously. It's fun to see him carry over these lessons and concepts from preschool to home. I'd recommend Swift for any parent, whether this is you're first child or you're fourth child.

His teachers in the Butterfly room are incredible. They clearly understand infant development and approach his learning accordingly and with love. When she moved up to an older room at our old daycare, I lost my silly, happy three-year-old daughter. Since moving to Kiddie Academy, I have seen a TREMENDOUS change in my daughter. She is happy to go to school every day. We talk about it all the way home and all the way to school. She is happy to wake up in the morning and happy to play at home (sometimes pretending to be at school again). She no longer has outbursts at home (or at least not often...) and she has stopped "grunting" at us when we try to engage her. She even gets mad when I pick her up too early from school because she doesn't have enough time to play with her friends. Her teacher at Kiddie Academy is so loving and has taught her so much. She had no interest in any activities at her old school, but now she wants to show and tell me all of the things she has learned. In the span of just a few weeks, she went from not being able to even hold a pen properly to being able to write her name. I'm a high school teacher in the public schools. My main goals for a daycare are for my kids to be happy and safe. Kiddie Academy provides me with the peace of mind for these goals and so much more. I couldn't recommend Kiddie Academy any higher.

I have to admit, I was terrified of putting my almost-three year old into day care. I pictured…read moreevery bad scenario under the sun. Initially I had sitters coming to my home, but one of them was stealing from me, two of them had no vehicle and required me to transport them, and two of them were completely unreliable. I missed so many days of work that I was worried I would lose my job. So when my daughter started kindergarten, I looked for a center close to her school. I went in and met with the staff, talked to them, watched the kids in the classrooms and outside in the playground. I figured if it was really awful, I could switch to the same-priced day care at my daughter's school (which required my son to be three and potty-trained, neither of which he was.) The first week was rough. He cried every morning "I don't want to go to school!" He clung to me. He sobbed and needed to be pried off of me so I could leave. I was sure this was NOT going to work out. But then he woke up Saturday morning and said "I go to school?" and was disappointed he could not. The next week he would get quiet when we arrived in the morning, and stood off to the side watching the other kids, but there were no tears or clinging, and the teachers said he was okay after I left. The next week, he would quietly go pick out a "table toy" (blocks, tinker toys, puzzles, etc.) when we got there and start playing. When I would pick him up, all the kids would say goodbye to him and he would say "see you tomorrow!" By the end of that week, he was obviously adjusted and content. It has been almost 2 months and he is speaking more clearly, doing better with fine motor skills, and will "choose" to share with his sister, rather than being told he has to. Don't get me wrong, there have been a couple of negative changes too. He is quicker to shriek when he doesn't get his way, and he has decided he should speak in a whine a few times, which does not get the desired response from me, so he has mostly stopped. I wish they were doing a little more to potty train, but I know it has to be a nightmare to have to deal with that in a class of 15 kids. It is much easier to put on a diaper than to change soaked clothes and mop the floor, especially when you have a bunch of unruly toddlers to watch. I SO get it, and I am guilty of it sometimes myself, and I only have 2 little ones under my supervision. The staff is very helpful with any questions I have had and they are all extremely kind and gentle with my sometimes crazy kids, which means more to me than I can express. There are tons of things for the kids to do, and they have free play and also organized play. They go outside every day, and he receives meals and snacks. He particularly loves the songs with corresponding body movements, and he has been so focused on that sometimes that he has missed me come in to get him. Their prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of care he has been receiving, and I am so glad I made the decision to send him here. Initially I had planned to switch him to the day care at his sister's school so that I can do just one drop off in the morning, but I intend to keep him here until he reaches school-age. I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for care for their littles.

They over-promised in the tour and under-delivered. They told us they would have someone watching the infants sleeping at all times, and I never saw anyone in that area of the room. Also, they let babies cry without helping them and the teachers don't know developmental milestones and do developmentally inappropriate activities with infants. The teachers ask you for heads up before you arrive, and I quickly realized why the one time I didn't give a heads up. They were neglecting my 3 month old daughter.
