After falling in love with aerial yoga in Toronto, I had all but lost hope of finding a place to…read morepractice close to home. Sure studios have popped up in CT here and there, but none of them were within a reasonable distance. That is, until Shine was born! I was lucky enough to secure a spot in an evening aerial class during the week (these classes are popular!), so I dragged myself off the couch and couldn't have been happier about it. There is a welcoming front desk upon entering, and moving back into the space you'll find two separate yoga studios, a bathroom (with shower) and cubbies for storing your things during class. The instructor Erica was very thorough and helpful but also really fun. She made sure that the silks were the right height before we began and then after demonstrating the poses, she walked around checking that everyone was safe in the silk and properly aligned. My muscles were incredibly happy with both the yummy stretches and the upper body and core strength needed to get into or go deeper into the postures. The stretches and savasana in the silk were the perfect ending to such a fun and challenging but incredibly grounding class. After such a great experience, I can't wait to try the other yoga classes offered!

They offer fantastic Yin Yoga and Aerial Yin (phenomenal!) which is actually hard to find. Additionally, there is regular Aerial Yoga which is great for cardio, abdominal and upper body. There's also traditional mat yoga which is great for strength training as well. Pricing is also really affordable. Unlimited classes for 35$ in the first month. The easiest thing is to sign up online and then sign up for classes through there. I would definitely recommend you reserve a spot online because some classes are super popular. I love that you don't even have to bring any of your own equipment as long as you clean it afterwards. Seriously Shine Studio, thank you so much for existing.

At 3:15 I inquired how much longer is this going to be? The response I got was "They're just finishing up". I waited another 10 minutes with no sign of being escorted into where I could be fitted for the orthotics, so I left. My time is worth something too. When I got home, there was a message on my landline. I guess they were trying to get me back if I hadn't gone too far, but they forgot they were calling a landline and not a cell phone. So if you don't mind having your time wasted and you have nothing better to do than sit in a waiting room you won't mind being a customer of this company.

I know it looks a little daunting, but it's really not intimidating at all once you start! Syria is a wonderful teacher and gets you used to the hammock, giving you direction every step of the way. You only have to do what you are comfortable with. The studio is big and bright (it's a dance studio as well), classes are small (8 max) so you really feel like your getting a personalized session. I found the whole place very welcoming. As with most yoga, it's a little expensive but your body feels relaxed and well stretched after. The hammock helps you really stretch out using gravity instead of putting a lot of pressure on your joints. They accept PayPal or cash and booking is easy online! I highly recommend it!

Where this center falls short is with the psychic readings. I've had readings done all over the world by dozens of mediums and psychics, and the readings I've had at The Healing In Harmony Center with Christine and Priscilla were really vague and uninformative. During psychic reading day, the price is fairly low, so it's not a great loss. However, the scheduled readings are fairly pricey. I didn't find them worth the money at all. I will for sure visit in the future when there is a workshop or other event I'm interested in, but I would never go for a reading again.

The readings were so accurate, I remain in complete awe of the information I received and I truly have the knowledge they were truly speaking to my passed family members.
