I had Dr. Yolanda Lagunas as my Obgyn . she delivered my daughter 30 years ago. I had a very difficulty delivery. My baby girl was too big for me to delivery naturally. She got stuck inside of me and. I had no idea how I delivered my daughter.I also suffered a 4th degree episiotomy and tore badly. I never went to her for my six week follow up. I went to another female doctor and she said I should have had a C-section. When the nurse brought my baby to me so I could feed her she had her little arm wrapped up in a sling. They told me didn't Dr. Lagunas tell you she had to dislocate her clavicle.. I began to cry and held my baby close to me. My experience with Dr. Lagunas was brutal and terrifying. The first time I came she walks in the room doesn't even introduce herself immediately starts going off about me not taking meds that my primary doctor told me to stop taking! Before doing an ultrasound she keeps saying "well let's see if the baby is even still there" she does the ultrasound and the baby was there and she immediately goes back to berating me about my age I'm 39 and saying your baby will probably have chromosome defects! So I worry about that for several weeks! Do the tests and no sign of chromosome defects so then then next time I see her! She comes in again and immediately starts going off about me gaining weight and saying oh you are gonna lose this baby! From other reviews she is notorious for bitching at people for gaining weight and being in their 30s having babies! She is awful! I changed doctors and would highly recommend staying away from this unprofessional one! If she hates patients and her job so much she should clearly quit or retire! Most ridiculous OBGYN clinic in all west Texas. I literally got the covid vaccine (because they told me I had to have it) just so I could go in with my wife to see our little baby in the ultrasound and so we go back for her next appointment and they say "oh well your wife has to be vaccinated too for you to come in". Like foreal? Like everyone has a mask on and I'm fully vaccinated and I still can't go in. I mean I guess if your a communist then this is the place for you. But as for me, we'll be looking for a DR who has more respect for family instead of forcing their needles in you. read more

Beyond amazing professionals from the front desk to the back office. The experience of getting an annual exam is one that is extremely intimate and personal. The staff here make sure you are comfortable and at ease. Tess is by far the best Practitioner I have ever had in almost 20 years of visiting a gynecologist/women's practitioner. She makes the experience seem like you're not in the most vulnerable position of your life. LOL. Front desk staff were beyond helpful and took time to explain any financial questions that were pending. Overall, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!! read more

Dr. Lagunas is an amazing doctor and I personally had a wonderful pregnancy with her...from the pregnancy itself, delivery, and postpartum. She was always very supportive and excited when we talked about my baby and that made me feel like I really made the right choice in picking her as my doctor. She gave me the best experience of my life and I will forever be grateful to her for bringing my baby girl into the world. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! Staff are completely incompetent from reception to office management. They have no empathy whatsoever or sense of urgency for patients needs. You practically have to talk to everyone in the office and beg for an appointment before you can get an appointment with the Dr. There is little to no communication between staff about patients needs as well no common sense when it comes to reading clinical notes. They screen calls only to leave you on hold come back and ask why you're calling all over again. There is no order in this office. Dr. Lagunas was so renowned years ago but I have lost all belief in her and her practice. This place is terribly run and it shows by the Drs lack of attention to her patients as well as her rude, uneducated, self diagnosing manager. Pat the manager is extremely rude, diagnoses every symptom over the phone as if she had a doctrine in obstetrics. You have to run all your questions/concerns by her only to have her say "it's normal, you shouldn't be having pain" yet not care to make an appointment for the patient immediately even if there is pain, discomfort & even hemorrhaging. They don't follow up on patients care accordingly. Looked for a second opinion after weeks of just calls & no actual medical care. Beyond grateful for the Life saving....yes "LIFE SAVING" provider I seeked. The condition was so severe and had been brushed off and dismissed by Dr.Lagunas and her staff for weeks. The experience at this practice was a complete disgrace. I would not recommend this place to even my worst enemy. If stars review gave the option to choose 0 stars I would. Even 1 star is too much for this crap hole practice. This place is the absolute worst experience I've ever had. read more

Bad excuse of a doctor. Very unprofessional as a doctor. When I had questions of my pregnancy she would always answer sarcastically. If she would've done her job I wouldn't end up at the hospital twice during my pregnancy. Made me pay more than what I was supposed to and once I talked to the nurses about it they said they'd refund the excessive amount but they never did. I would not recommend her to ANYBODY. read more

Dr. Lagunas was very nice and talkative at first but anytime my husband was around she cut my appointments short and wasn't very thorough. She made it uncomfortable and made it seem as if he wasn't important or part of my pregnancy which wasn't very professional. She seemed to have that negative option about men which is fine but she shouldn't have projected that into my husband who was and is with me every step of the way. She became a bad doctor to me at the appointments he was able to make and I hated that. At my delivery I also didn't like that she let techs and nurses in and out to just chat while I was pushing and talking about other doctors methods and just kind of ignoring me and not respecting my privacy. I'm already exposed to the whole room and then she just let any nurse In to talk it was inappropriate and she should've respected that I was in labor and none of them were my nurses and she didn't guide me. It was my first baby so I didn't enjoy that. I did like that she has me laying in the bed without stirrups and had one nurse holding one leg and my husband the other even though she communicated to him through the nurse.
