This place had a deal going---30 euro for 30 days unlimited. That's the cheapest I've found so far in Paris, and Hot Power Yoga is my jam, so I went to check it out. I ended up just paying for the single class because I have 0 interest in going back. The main problems for me were that the room was not very hot and there are no showers or locker rooms. I went to the Hot Power Yoga 60' that is described as "intense" on the website. Not so much. The only flows we went through were Sun Salutations A and B. The teacher--who I think is the owner, too, also stopped us twice during the class and had us come completely out of flow to do some partner handshake activity (????). I'm by no means a pro at Power Yoga, but this was at no point challenging. I'm also not too convinced of this teacher's credentials---and there's nothing about him and his training on the website as far as I could tell. He had the class breathing out of their mouths for the whole class instead of using the ujjayi breath. It seemed like he didn't really know what he was doing or how to lead us through any kind of flow. His style was more scolding than encouraging--not my YogaStyle. Such a disappointment! read more
