I gave it a very long try before reviewing. It's OK. Locker rooms nice. Yoga/Pilates space nice,…read morebut often music blocks out instructors' voices. Some of the instructors are AMAZING. They meet you where you are, as advertised, and are helpful rather than hypercritical. Thank you to them. Not all, though. You won't hear a lot of "honor yourself" or "breathe into it" or movement with breath instructions. Last week I heard, "Last week's class did all of this, so DO IT." "I've already worked out 2.5 hours today, so you have no excuse." "It's a good thing I'm pregnant or else you wouldn't be getting so many breaks." "You can drink water when we break for it." Last I checked, yoga is not a competitive sport. As for the place itself, water constantly leaks from a pipe or the water fountain or both. I and several others nearly fell because there's no wet floor sign, no towels put down, and the floor is tile. I called it out and got, "that always happens," so I laid towels and warned ppl myself. Safety not a first priority, nor cleanliness given that. I thought about bringing a friend who is physically limited, but I didn't want to risk a fall. Finally, while it may be fixed now, the humidifier has been broken for weeks, with many promises that it'll be fixed by a certain day, then the part is on order but "will be here today." Then "next week" ... practicing is possible in dry heat, but stating the room is always 40% when it's not is misleading. Dry air breeds more bacteria, and winter is rough on sinuses and muscles as it is. (Of course, some may not care, but the humidity was a #1 reason why I chose Drip.) Emily did extend membership for a week (verbally, but it never reflected on my account). Not clear whether I will pay for a new membership or not. I'm going to try a few more places first. Biggest concern aside from those, though, I often overheard instructors/owner complaining loudly about members and their complaints, and gossiping, which doesn't create the best vibe in the space. If it's important to you that the energy match your practice intentions, something to consider. But again ... Ilyce, great. Nicole, great. Dragan, intense but great. Briana, great. Watch the water on the floor and the possible lack of humidity, and look for those instructors, and you're mostly good to go.

I've been a member of Drip since May and waited a while to write an honest, experienced review…read more The studio is exceptional. Emily, the owner, has thought through every detail to provide the perfect hot yoga and pilates studio. Drip is friendly, visually gorgeous, and insanely clean with all the amenities you could think of. The studio offers optimal space and seating, a mat cleaning and filtered water bottle refill station, small towels for cleaning up sweat, men and women's locker rooms with cubbies and wall hooks, showers, bathrooms, and sinks. There's product available like mouthwash and facial cleansers. If you forget an item or are visiting, no worries, there are mats and towels to rent. There's also a fun shop area with clothing, jewelry, yoga, decorative items, cool drinks and snacks for purchase. The yoga room is huge with full mirrors on three walls. It's always clean and features light wood grained flooring with fun and tasteful LED lights on the ceiling. The sound system is clear and never too loud or difficult to hear instructions. There's a variety of yoga and pilates classes with many instructors on staff. The instructors are well trained and exceptional. Each class has something different to offer. I'm always learning, trying something new and challenged. I used to be a cardio and running junkie for decades and transitioned to full time Drip Classes. I love the whole body benefit. Pricing is reasonable comparatively. I do think the drop-in price is a little high, but otherwise packages are very reasonable for what's included. I hear nightmares from friends at other studios with unavailable, filled classes, or horribly competitive sign-up systems. Not here. I've only been waitlisted once for a class, and still got in. I average 5-6 classes a week. The members are diverse. It's a potpourri of all ages, men and women, and abilities. I love the energy and that it's not just moms, etc. I also appreciate that if I'm floundering with a pose or need to take a break in Pilates to breathe, I won't be the only one. On the other hand, I'm also motivated to by yogi's rocking a pose or my neighbor doing full body push ups with ease in Pilates. The studio is popular and well attended. The only classes that tend to be full, in my experience, are the 6/7 p.m. classes. But, there always seems to be room for everyone, a mat can be slid over, etc., and the energy is fantastic. The location is ideal. It's easy to get in and out and there's ample parking. Drip is in a quiet location next to the Rolling Meadows Firehouse. Don't hesitate to check it out and at least try a drop in class. If you want a challenge, do the 90 min. Bikram. It's one of my favorites!
