The ropes made inversions accessible and I loved the heady flush coming out of poses. I'm over 50 and I felt like a child climbing the walls to hang upside down. I have lived at Yonge and eg for 5 years now and every year a new fitness studio seems to open. I always enjoy stopping by to try something new. I can attest that taking into consideration affordability, class size, class variation, studio environment, staff and fitness offering, this is by far my favourite spot! It's not your average yoga studio! They offer fusion yoga which is way more fun! It is upbeat, challenging and yet very relaxing. My favourite class is their kick boxing class! It is a time!!! If you are looking for a fun way to exercise, a fitness community to encourage and motivate you and an overall enjoyable experience that helps to strengthen your mind, body & soul, you should totally check this place out!

I heard about this location through Class Pass, which includes a wide variety of studios and gyms across the city. Framewrks studio is right beside the DVP in a large building that includes multiple commercial tenants. It's on the second floor - just follow the suite numbers and you'll find it easily. I'm particularly impressed by the Essentrics class offered here, which combines elements of Pilates, Tai Chi, dance, and physiotherapy! It's low impact and designed to enhance mobility, improve posture, and prevent injury. Seeing as how I'd like to stay active, Essentrics is ideal. The studio itself is bright, spacious, clean, and welcoming. The owner, Josephine, was a former instructor at the Energy eXchange (now closed), and she brings a wealth of experience with her. She asks new students about injuries and keeps a close eye during the class so that we get the most out of each sequence of movement. I recommend you ask lots of questions before starting the class to get the most out of your experience. Please note that there are no lockers here and the change room is unisex, but there are curtained-off areas for changing in private. There are two bathrooms near the studio, located down the hall and shared by other building tenants. You are welcome to bring your purse/valuables into the studio if you prefer.

I felt like I was able to easily connect with the instructors and the other users in the space, but also felt if I needed to be an introvert that day, I could be. Classes accommodate up to 20 people, and the space was a cozy for the 16 people in my session. I had signed up online before class and I showed up about 10 minutes before my session. I was given a large towel and a small towel. The small towel is to sit on in the sauna. I also brought a separate shower towel, which I could recommend, since you'll feel damp after class. There are keyless lockers, so all you really need is your bathing suit. After changing we entered the wet space. The session started with some standing breathing exercises. Queenie led us through a Qigong breathing exercise, which was very grounding. We went into the sauna for 15 minutes, and I was dying. This is a hot sauna! I sat on the highest deck, but next time I'll sit in the middle deck. Afterwards we transferred to the cold space. Queenie and Cat were motivating and got us through it. It was freakin cold! The session finished in the sauna, with some time at the end if you wanted another cold plunge or to relax in the sauna. The change rooms have 2 private shower rooms with really nice shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Afterwards I had a tea in the tea lounge. The tea selection was amazing. All in all I'm looking forward to going back! It was a lovely Sunday afternoon down regulating activity. with Queenie and Cat.
