I go to this location pretty often and I do love all the instructors! They have plenty of street parking, but it does vary depending on rush hours. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because sometimes the heat doesn't work. Other than that it's great!

Been going to this new Chula Vista Yoga box location for a few months now! I prefer to take classes with Ruby as she is always so friendly and welcoming. I have preferred her yoga sequence as its pacing works well for me. I always leave feeling centered and relaxed. The manager of this location Mercedes is also so friendly with amazing customer service skills. 100/10 stars for yoga box Chula Vista

Hi Yoga Box Team, I wanted to reach out regarding an experience I had in class today. I attended the 12-1 PM session with Lexi S on November 21st. During class, I briefly checked my phone because I was monitoring my heart rate. I currently have a heart monitor on my chest, which is very visible. Lexi told me to leave the class because of this, and her approach felt extremely disrespectful and rude. I was left feeling embarrassed and humiliated in front of the class. This was especially difficult because I have a real heart condition, and I rely on my monitor for safety. I truly think your staff needs to be more aware and inclusive when it comes to medical needs. No one should be made to feel ashamed or singled out for managing a health condition, especially in a wellness space. I'm hoping this can be addressed, as I generally enjoy your classes and want to feel comfortable and supported when attending. I will no longer be attending class because of how this instructor was so un inclusive. Thank you for your time.

Yoga Box Chula Vista is such a welcoming place to start your hot yoga journey. They gave me a locker with my name on it for my first time and explained how everything worked. I've been going for about 2 months and have loved every class I've taken!

Extremely disappointed. It was my first time here and I was not let in because I was 5 min late. Class appeared to be overbooked.

I dropped my luggage at my friend's and found a couple of nearby yoga studios. Chula Vista Yoga Center had classes that fit well for my schedule while I was in town, so I called it my home studio for the weekend. Signing up for the classes and checking in were a breeze. The studio was gorgeous, and I loved the inspiring wall murals and paintings inside the space. If I was local, I would certainly attend the monthly offerings including workshops, sound healing events, etc. I enjoyed the two classes I was able to take. Both classes were heated, and the teachers were awesome. For my first class I took Andre's Ashtanga class on Thursday at 10:30am. I used to practice Ashtanga regularly, so taking the class was like riding a bike. Andre modified the primary sequence, so I thought it was very accessible to yogis of all levels. The other class I was able to take over the weekend was Jackie's vinyasa flow at 8am on Saturday. She had such a creative, challenging flow and introduced an asana I've never done before. Lastly, customer service was excellent. The two front desk receptionist who assisted me on both days were very friendly and helpful.

They are very nice people- wonderfully patient instructors. Eddie is laid back in demeanor, played reggae music at my first session, but lead us through a demanding and fun workout. Nati and Paulina strike me as maybe more traditional instructors- both leading a workout that was spiritual as well as physically demanding- Nati ends the sessions with a sound bath that is wonderful after the effort. I appreciate all 3 instructors. The studio is the perfect size, has mats and everything necessary for a beginning student (a yogi?). I already committed to going there for the next 3 months- something I hadn't been inspired to do at the other two studios I sampled. Kula means community and I think they've made a nice community here in Chula Vista- even inflexible lawyers like me are welcome!

For years, I used to go get full body massages every other week because my muscles in my neck and shoulder areas were so tight from my occupation as a dentist. I urge you to try sitting down and working on upper back molars on patients who have limited opening of the mouth. Anyway, I digress. It was actually my massage therapist who told me to try hot yoga because she couldn't believe how stiff and tight I was. So I went to my first class in July 2008. I was hooked. The first day I drove home with my legs shaking and still sweating profusely but I never felt more refreshed. The yoga is the same 26/2 postures each time, yet it's not boring and it's always different depending on your body.My best friend from high school who has been doing private Pilates lessons for 20 years tried this yoga and said that she understood why I was so hooked and how it was a challenging exercise. I have a 3 year old grandson now and I want to be active and crawl around on the floor and keep up with him and I credit this yoga for allowing me to do so. I don't feel old and this yoga is the reason why! I even have my hyperactive, mountain biking, surfing and golfing retired husband doing this with me twice a week and he says it helps him with all his sports. A big thanks to Sonia and all the instructors, the studio is spotless and the community is awesome!
