Marketplace sets the standard for customer care and community…read more Marketplace in Madisonville, KY is the only grocery store I shop at, and for good reason. The staff is always helpful and kind. When I injured my foot back in August, they didn't hesitate to help me get my groceries to the car. That kind of care means a lot. I especially want to spotlight Leah, who has been with Marketplace for several years. She always assists me--whether at checkout or in any way she can--and I've noticed her helping many other customers with the same cheerful spirit. I truly look forward to seeing her and the rest of the staff whenever I shop. Just tonight, a young man named Aiden helped me load heavy cases of water into my car. He was polite and thoughtful, and I appreciated his help. Marketplace is always fully stocked, always so clean, and I've always felt valued as a customer. I've known Mr. Everly since the days when his father ran a grocery store down the road, and that same sense of appreciation for customers continues today. They are also one of the few grocery stores that truly try to keep their prices as low as possible. Marketplace has earned my loyalty, and I'm grateful for the way they serve this community. With gratitude, Martha Grace in Action

What do smooshed burgers, tasteless fries, fresh nothing, shakes that "come from a bag," toothless…read more(as in no teeth, zero), and no air conditioning have in common? The answer is Burger Shack. Yes, I asked how they make they're shakes and I was told they come in a bag, are lactose free, and they just add water! These are not shakes. We had the bacon cheese burgers and could not finish it. No, I wasn't full, but it was absolutely the worst and flatest hamburger I've ever had. Ditto my wife. If the meat is real they need to change vendors. The lettuce was limp and soggy, the buns were not properly cooked, and there was no delineation in tastes. It was just nasty. They had no air conditioning, which I admit could have been a one-off, but they did have a large fan that made it difficult to hear the girl at the counter. My recommendation to management is to get quality ingredients, learn how to properly make a shake, and raise your prices accordingly. I would gladly pay twice what I did for quality food. Price is not the primary criterion.

We haven't been inside to see the seating arrangement however, we called ahead and placed the order and paid over the phone. The salads were LOADED with chicken, burgers were dressed, and corn nuggets were sweet and great. They even gave us extra condiments as we requested and napkins. Half of the fast food restaurants these days don't even get the order right, nor do they give napkins. This is a really good local restaurant that I have zero negative things to say about. We enjoy supporting local businesses and you will not be hungry after finishing your meal. They don't short you on anything. The food is filling and doesn't seem as processed and chalked full of chemicals like most of the fast food restaurants that run the monopoly's that they have. Sometimes it can be hard to find a good local restaurant but that is not the case with Burger Shack. The convenience of the drive through is great especially when you have multiple kids and don't want to get out to run in to pay/pick up your order. I'm sure we will be back relatively soon. Come out and support your local businesses!

I swear I come to Wonder Whip to order Chili Cheese Fries with a side of burger. It's crazy to me…read morethat I enjoy their chili cheese fries as much as I do. I may just promote this as the new diet trend of 2025. I ordered their jalapeño cheddar burger on this visit and upgraded my combo to a large side and a large drink with an additional upgrade to add chili and cheese to my fries. My order came out quick and the service was absolutely superb as usual. I took my meal to the table and hurriedly opened up my side order and the sight hit me hard. The ultimate order of... Chili...Cheese...Fries. it was a heaping mound of fries with loads of chili and cheese. In approval, I inadvertently exclaimed "yeah" too loud and quickly scoped around to see if anyone might have heard me. If they had, I'd be forced to take the meal to go. A hearty mountain of deliciousness. My mind spun through scenarios on how to take this task on. Hire a Sherpa, get a pickaxe, and a pack mule perhaps? No no no. My food would be cold by the time they arrived. Focus and use what is at hand. The Wonder Whip Angel provided me with a plastic fork like the Lady of the Lake. It came out of my white bag like Excalibur. I should have asked for a second fork in case the first one breaks or wears down. I should've had a contingency plan. Curse me for a fool! But wait. I still had that burger to get through. I hurriedly scarfed it down enjoying every bit of it, but distracted the entire time by the thought of getting to my fries. I made it to the last bite and thanked the burger for giving its nutrients to me. I raised my fork high with my right hand and opened the clam shell with my left. For anyone watching from afar, I'm sure they only saw a small tasmanian devil tornado of activity with arms and legs and chili and fries and cheese whipping about. They'd be surprised to know that amidst that chaos, was a happy man enjoying a great side dish at a terrific value thanks to Wonder Whip. Im full. Now sleep.
