Yoav helped me find a great house pretty quickly despite tricky market conditions. He gave me a ton of helpful advice throughout the entire search process. He also was able to quickly understand what my priorities were and presented me with options accordingly. I don't think I would've found such a great place in the timeframe if I hadn't worked with Yoav. I highly recommend Yoav! read more

Being in a related business, I have had the pleasure of cross "referring clients" with Yoav. Why is this important? There is no better way to get to know a professional than by seeing them through the eyes of valued clients... What have I learned through the experience? 1) Yoav is a consummate professional. His attention to detail is unrivaled and he knows the residential real estate market inside and out. 2) Yoav brings a truly rare combination of experience, creativity and compassion to every listing. "Helping clients" is not just an empty slogan for Yoav.. it is his everyday walk through life. 3) Yoav has tremendous range. He is equally comfortable with a flawless multi-million home in the hills as he is with a small house on a big lot ideally suited for adding an ADU... If you are looking for one... He has one listed right now! There are a lot of factors that go into choosing the right Realtor... Based on my experience, Yoav should be on your shortlist! read more

Yoav recently helped me with selling one house and buying another. At every step along the way he was responsive, patient, and so helpful. Yoav has a great understanding of the market and gave me great advice regarding offers, pricing, negotiations, terms, inventory, etc. In the end we got a quick sale for full asking price, and a great deal on a new property that has all the features I was looking for. I would absolutely recommend Yoav to anyone looking for an experienced, knowledgeable guide through this crazy LA real estate market! read more

You haven't experienced an amazing agent until you have worked with Yoav. Yoav's white glove service is not a gimmick! Very responsive, hard working and exceptionally talented. Yoav did an absolutely amazing job selling my house. His knack and instinct for presenting a house is uncanny. He tirelessly ensured I was comfortable every step of the way; from doing repairs, to understanding all the documents being thrown at me, to deciphering the buyers' actions, to walking me through escrow. His negotiation skills are excellent, and he was a fierce advocate for me. His customer service is impeccable and, most importantly, he's a great guy. Highly recommended! read more

Absolutely loved working with Yoav for our first home. Very professional, knowledgeable, puctual and patient. And the last one was definitely very needed as we saw quite a few homes together. We didn't know how much help we needed when we started this process but his expertise helped us tremendously. From inspections to negotiations to understanding what area is best suited for our family, he guided us through the entire process. Very grateful. Highly recommended read more

Yoav Astman - COMPASS - Real Estate Agents Near Me - Calabasas, California

My wife and I were recommended to Yoav from a mutual friend to sell our house. When we met we were asking for a selling price that was already at the top of the market and the whole time Yoav told us we would sell above asking price. Low and behold, 45 days later escrow closed and we were over asking price. I have already recommended Yoav to many of my friends who needed a real estate agent and they are all happy with him as well. Don't think twice, highly recommended! read more

Yoav helped my fiancé and I find and buy our first home in a very competitive market. I feel very confident in saying Yoav exceeded our expectations in every way. He is very knowledgeable about the process and walked us through every step at our own pace. He was both patient and positive even though it was a seller's market, and he was honest when he thought a home wouldn't fit our needs. He was always on time and available for questions no matter how small, and he had recommendations for contractors, painters, lenders, etc. (the ones we used were all great.) Given this is our first home, we haven't worked with many real estate agents, but there isn't one thing I can think of that Yoav could have done better. On several occasions he went out of his way to make sure we were happy and comfortable with the process. If we ever move or sell this home I will 100% be using Yoav again. read more

I have been very excited to write this review for Yoav, not only to share the experience my family had but also to put in a review into the space that allowed me to find him. Yoav is an excellent realtor but also such a great person. I found Yoav on yelp and we decided to give him a call - I can say that if you're reading these to decide whether or not to call him, just do it. We first met Yoav and he spoke to us about what we wanted, what we must have, and what our budget looked like. My husband's work schedule is very inflexible so I went with my 1 year old daughter to see homes with Yoav. Yoav is incredibly flexible and was able to make (so, so many) house showing appointments around my daughters nap time. Never once did we feel pressured to offer on a home or to go above our budget. I think the main thing for you, potential clients, to realize is after we placed an offer on the home Yoav continued to exceed our expectations. He helped us negotiate with the sellers regarding the inspections as well as our initial offer package. Yoav knows this area so well and knows the market value of homes in this area. I'd have to say Yoav is an excellent negotiator because he doesn't fluff you with wild numbers and unreal monetary expectations- he tells you exactly what is attainable and honest based on his experience in this field. We truly felt we can trust what he says, which is so important when you're investing so much. The entire time from start to finish he is always on your side and working his hardest for you! What more could you ask for? We love this home Yoav helped us purchase and if/when we decide to sell Yoav will be the first person we call. Thank you so much again, Yoav. read more

We were introduced to Yoav in August of 2020. By September, we already moved into our new home and closed escrow on our old home. Yoav did an amazing job of being by our side every step of the way. He was available 24/7 and was dedicated completely to negotiate on our behalf and deliver the best deal possible on both the buy and sell side. Yoav went above and beyond to make himself available for showings during all times of day, and especially now when showings are 1-on-1 it was really appreciated. His advice on our selling price was great, and we managed to get multiple offers in very short amount of time, all over asking! Yoav is easy to work and communicate with. He is polite, professional, with great interpersonal skills. We worked with several brokers in the past and can honestly say that my experience with Yoav was EXCEPTIONAL. He cared about the home we bought and sold as if he was buying/selling his own home. We recommend him to anyone that is looking for a great broker. Yoav's services also included true professionals for photos, video and a 3-D walk-through of the home. Top notch broker! read more

We loved working with Yoav on selling our home! He was both professional and extremely patient and responsive as he guided us through our first home sale. He knows the business and the LA market better than anyone and would recommend him to anyone looking for an expert in the real estate business. While we were out of town he managed the entire escrow process and ensured we stayed on track to close on time and move out of our home. His knowledge and expertise calmed our nerves as we knew we were in the best hands. I would highly recommend Yoav to anyone looking for a seamless and positive home buying or selling experience! We will be going back to him when we're ready for our next real estate endeavor. read more

Yoav was a pleasure to work with! He is smart, very responsive, and patient. He successfully sold our home at above asking price in the middle of Coronavirus! Such a talented but hardworking and humble group of professionals in LA real estate market. When me and my wife planned to build our real estate portfolio along west coast, we weren't very confident that how long it would take to achieve our goals. We contacted Yoav and Devin during Christmas but didn't expect to see properties in person, due to covid and our short stay in LA. Surprisingly, not only they met us in person (with masks and social distance), but also managed to show us several properties. We ended up submitting offers by the time we left the town, only a week after I called Yoav from Texas. They truly put the clients first and made magic happen. They were able to remotely show properties that we are interested and guided and advised us on the price, community, growing potential and life style. They eventually helped us get two properties, both of them lower than asking price in this crazy hot market. Yoav also has extensive network. He referred me another amazing realtor in Seattle to help me sell my property there at a over-asking price within 5 days on the market. The whole process was so enjoyable that we become life long friends. I have worked with agents who don't know their games and put clients in very frustrating situations. So I really appreciate Yoav and Devin for setting up such an amazing start point for the next chapter of our life in LA. It doesn't matter if you are sellers or buyers, tenants or landlords. Yoav and Devin are your best choices. read more

I have nothing but praise for Yoav. He sold my condo in the middle of a pandemic, while I lived across the country. I felt like I was his only client throughout the whole process. We definitely faced our share of challenges and surprises, but Yoav was calm the whole time. I couldn't have gotten the result I was looking for without him. read more

Let me start by saying that I've dealt with many different Real Estate Agents in my life and Yoav stands out as one of the best! Because I was dealing with a 1031 property exchange time was a big factor in the process. I started with an Agent I found on yelp that had all kinds of glowing reviews. What a disappointment she was. Perhaps I wasn't high end enough for her because she passed me off many times to her "assistant". She also made me feel that it was going to be very difficult to find what I was looking for. As my anxiety increased I decided to go back on Yelp to try to find another agent. What a great decision that proved to be because I found Yoav. From the initial phone call to our first meeting soon after I felt my anxiety disappear. He was easy going, knowledgeable and patient! He assured me that we were going to find something and there was no need to worry. He was attentive, highly responsive and always available. As promised thanks to Yoav I found exactly what I was looking for. I had a few moments of doubt just before closing and Yoav supported my concerns and assured me that if I didn't feel completely comfortable with the property we would find something else. He emphasized the need for me to be happy! I've had a few questions now that I'm the home owner and Yoav continues to be engaging. He never disappoints and is a true pleasure to work with!! read more

Yoav is amazing! When we first spoke he promised to 'get it done' and he actually did so against all odds considering we were very specific about the required location (actual block) of our future home. Yoav is very honest, which to me is of utmost importance, is a hard worker, and possesses great communication skills! I would highly recommend him to anyone that wants to purchase or sell a home, as a matter of fact already did. Thank you for getting it done Yoav! read more

Miracle worker. Sold our house quickly. Super responsive and helpful. Went to bat for us on several occasions. No Sales skills! Yoav was my buying and also selling agent. I can give him 4-5 stars on his performance as a buying agent. He finds listings that we like and we got our great house. One thing noticed in buying process, he showed he doesn't have good patience. ex) he called loan office so many times and loan officer was complaining to us and him. As a selling agent, he was not meeting expectation at all. I remember after his first open house he was telling us we might have to reduce our selling price. We said no and he had many open houses but could not sell. I was frustrated and asked him why he can't sell. He replied 1) market is not good 2) other houses in same Townhome complex are a lot better than mine. Other units were selling more thant 20 K than mine and we ended up lower 20K from our starting price even though our starting price was 12k lower than other unit which was just told. I had very unpleasant 4 months while my home was listed and I don't recumbent him to anyone want to sell their home. read more

We cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Yoav! He has been so patient and diligent throughout our entire home selling process and we always felt that he was on our side and looking out for us. We ended up selling our house with Yoav for $400k over what another agent thought we could sell our house for. Please don't hesitate to contact Yoav when you're ready to sell or buy! read more

Yoav is the absolute best. My fiancé and I were nervous first time home buyers and Yoav made the process beyond seamless. He was patient in answering all our questions (and trust me, we had a lot!) and always listened to our needs. He genuinely wanted the best for us and listened closely. He took the time to get to know us a couple and picked up the fact that we love trees. He made sure to get us into a beautiful neighborhood in Westlake Village surrounded by trees! It was a perfect fit and we couldn't have gotten our dream home during COVID without Yoav by our side. We will 1000% be recommending Yoav to all of our friends and family. Couldn't have asked for a better real estate agent! read more

Yoav is THE go-to realtor whether a buyer and/or seller! A home is such an important/expensive investment that you really need to know the person playing liaison on your behalf with other agents. Some agents will try to put their self-interest first and 1) lower the price of your home to make a quick sale 2) aim for a double commission by tricking the seller into a lower sell price to help their buyer find a property sooner. Their personal benefit is that it cuts down on driving around and searching for properties. Additionally, they make 2x the amount of money. 3) Agents may list the house at sellers' desired price to lock down the listing but know it it higher than the market. This will actually hurt the listing and will lower interest, especially if the listing needs to sit and is later reduced in price. I knew that the person to get my listing needed to be trustworthy, smart, business-savvy, personable, advertising-savvy and more. On par with a 200+ characteristic check list that you create about your future significant other. In my search for someone to represent my home, I took a day off from work to interview five real estate agents back to back. Each person had to have enough qualifications to get an invitation, but from there they only had 40 min-1 hour to prove their value to me. I quickly picked out the stars from the newbies, especially as I designed tests for each meeting. Of the 5 visitors, Yoav was the only person to pass every test- The test everyone failed was sadly one of the first things when they entered the house; I wanted to see who would catch it during our walk through knowing ordinary house guests had even commented on it. He immediately pointed it out and explained the necessary work to fix it. Thus, he was also the only person able to estimate the value of my house- To readers, it isn't fun negotiating thousands of dollars of credit back to a buyer after an inspection. Yoav has always been the picture perfect person to represent my house. - Dressed professionally - Stayed current on the local comps throughout the duration that my house was listed - Knows Woodland Hills inside and out and lives there himself- key if someone wants to visit your house last minute - He represents multi-million dollar listings and "the little guy". In this case, I am the little guy however I was treated like royalty. Regular text/call updates. Constantly working on the back end to garner interest. 1) If I didn't look at his website to know about his other listings, I could have been disillusioned enough to think I was the only person he was working with. Grade A+ service. - Offered the best advertising media and photography of the agents. Note, I work in advertising so I knew what each person was offering. 1) The only realtor in my search to offer a drone video recording. Video footage is significant when picking an agent because it provides a more authentic experience to the viewer. a) What drives a price up is the emotional attachment that a buyer has for a place. 2) Present on multiple social media platforms and separately promotes his listings. 3) DON'T FALL FOR AGENTS' ADVERTISING TRICKS. MOST CLAIM TO PROVIDE SPECIAL MARKETING MATERIAL. COMPARE! - Offered multiple potential list prices. 1) Most sellers don't realize that there are three ways to strategize a price 1) list lower to garner attention and start a bidding war 2) price appropriately 3) price higher and see if you can get it... reduce if necessary- Least effective method. 2) For background, I forced all of the potential agents to come up with prices based on the above and then would not provide any feedback. As mentioned above, he passed all tests with flying colors. 3) I chose price option 1 and went beyond our goal number. It was in escrow after 1 week with plenty of back up offers during an off season. read more

If you want the best realtor possible in a difficult market then Yoav is the guy. I've sold and bought a lot of real estate and this was the first time I've worked with Yoav. Yoav far exceeded my expectations and sold my home in one day with multiple offers that turned into a bidding war and sold for 50,000 above asking. Prior to finding Yoav, my home was listed with an inexperienced agent whom I fired for lack of performance, professionalism, and poor attitude. My home sat on the MLS for over 4 months, losing value each and every day. I was desperate to find a qualified agent who would have my best interest in heart, so I took to the internet searching top realtors in my area and was redirected to Yelp. It didn't take me long to notice Yoav, and his never-ending list of 5-star reviews, so I took a chance and gave him a call. It was early morning when I called him, and in the background, I heard his children as they were attempting virtual school. I could tell he was busy yet, Yoav remained on the phone with me for over an hour as I described what I needed to be done and my displeasure with the prior listing agent. I needed someone who was experienced and would be able to sell my home with my impending divorce I had no more time to waste. We made plans the following day to meet and then I signed with him on the spot feeling 100% confident in my choice. . He first brought in stagers who transformed the look of my house, took new photos and videos, and really brought out the best qualities of my home. The day after it listed, we had 5 showings and each put in an offer, we sold it day one. Without Yoav, it would still be sitting on the market. Besides being a consummate professional, he is an unbelievable nice guy who went above and beyond to get it done and at the best price. We had some last-minute snafus during escrow, none of his fault but it held up our closing several weeks, yet he kept his cool, checked in with me multiple times daily and held my hand throughout the process until we closed. Take if from someone who has not had the best luck and hired the wrong person costing me time, money and headaches. Yoav Astman is your guy, hands down the best broker I have ever had the pleasure of working with and an a really fantastic guy. All of us writing reviews can't be wrong. They are awesome! Yoav did a great job selling our house. Fought for us and got the price we wanted.

Yoav helped my wife and I sell our home in Calabasas. We all know you're lucky if you find a realtor who's enthusiastic, well prepared, willing to work hard and knows the market. You hit the jackpot when you run into a truly savvy business person with integrity like Yoav Astman. I structure large scale business deals and negotiate contracts for a living, so it's little surprise I've been underwhelmed with realtors I've worked with in the past. Yoav treated our single family residence with the expertise I'd see on a multimillion dollar corporate acquisition. We'd met Yoav several years prior at an open house for he and his wife's personal listing and we'd been so impressed by his sense of style and reserved professionalism, we called him when it was time to sell. He proposed a solid strategy and efficient execution strategy that made him a clear choice as our agent. It was a hot market with limited inventory, so he could have easily listed and waited for the house to sell itself, but instead he connected us with a contractor and recommended upgrades that would add meaningful value for every dollar we invested. He offered shrewd advice on staging, produced a professional video, high quality marketing materials that spared no expense, and amazing photographs that unlike most of our comps, didn't distort the space with a wide angle lens clearly intended to deceive the buyer. The sale went very well-he brought in multiple offers, all above asking price, and surgically executed the entire transaction all the way through escrow.  Throughout the whole process I felt like Yoav had our back and he even caught a couple things that I missed, saving us a bunch of money. I felt like Yoav knew what was going on at all times in the closing process, so I was confident he wasn't going to let us miss any deadlines and was completely on top of any potential red flags. We even ended up closing a few days early. I couldn't recommend Yoav enough for anyone looking for some peace of mind and top value when selling or buying a home! read more

After meeting with him and asking all the question to figure out his level of sophistication I was very please to find out that this guy was just what I was looking for. After doing extensive searching he found the perfect home for our family, negotiated the best deal possible, he sold our existing home faster then we ever expected it to happen and over all made the process a simple and enjoyable one. Yoav helped us to get our first house and we can't thank him enough for such an easy and smooth process. My husband and I heard stories that to find a perfect house for your budget may take over 6 month and you may put multiple offers and still don't get a house you want. Not in our case. We found our dream home in less then 2 month, thanks to Yoav always being available, consulting us on what is a better and smarter choice and what not worth wasting a time. He knows his areas like no one else. Yoav is knowledgeable, professional and very pleasant to work with. When time came to put an offer on the house we loved, we were afraid we will get over bit due to the house being on the highest range of our budget. And it did happen. Yoav was referred to me by my cousin who bought a house from him last year. I've always been a bit cautious of people in the sales industry, but all that change when I met Yoav. He's extremely genuine and knowledgeable with aspect of the home buying experience. I'm an extremely technical guy, so I have tons of questions. I had no problem reaching him anytime of day. Though, I've always respected a person family time with my phone call. I've was working with several other Realtor this past year and no one have been able to find me something I like. I gave Yoav a shot and he found me something in no time. There was tons of paperwork, but he made it so much easier than all the horror stories I get from my friends. Literally, I can go on and on about his customer service and his professionalism, but it's all comes down to TRUST. And I trust Yoav with any future business dealings. You'll notice the running theme in my rating. Trustworthy people and Trustworthy business are really important to me. At the very beginning of our home search, Yoav told us that he will find the perfect home for our family and that he did. He was always available with every home we wanted to see and was responsive with every question we had and would not let us compromise with what we originally set out to find. Yoav Astman was our listing agent for our home in the Oaks of Calabasas. He represented this very expensive property with great skill and expertise on many levels. He advertised our property on real estate web sites, created a virtual video tour of the property and held broker open houses. These brought multiple offers quickly and he was able to negotiate a great price for our home. After the property was in escrow he continued to direct the deal through all phases with great skill and professionalism. He worked tirelessly to complete the transaction with no stress to us.
