Best meal in FMB! Great tacos,nachos esp the Jacked Up taco! Walk up order and service at Lani Kai. Same food that used to be had at the food truck just out front. We made trip here after some bar hopping for dinner. All of our group kept talking about how great it was the rest of our stay. Unfortunately not waking distance from where we stayed this trip. It is not fancy just good solid Mexican food. Place not to missed. We took our food and ate at bar on beach level of hotel. read more

We had the nachos and the 420 special. It was a perfect lunch for the wife and I. Nachos were loaded up and not skimped on. The tacos were full and overflowing so I had to use some chips to eat the rest. Overall a great place to get a quick lunch coming off the beach. read more

FIRST.... This place is NOT permanently closed!!!! They were closed temporarily after being devastated from Hurricane Ian, however they are now re-opened and serving phenomenal quality food! Love love love this place! My family decided to pick this up for lunch and bring back to the beach. My wife had some chicken hard shell and soft shell tacos, while my kids (12 and 16) had the Big Donkey Burrito andI had beef hard shell tacos and a Big Donkey beef (comes in chicken and steak as well). Happy to say it was all really yummy. The homemade taco shells were a star for sure. The Big Donkey was very tasty, and while big, was not huge. The tacos were good, they ran out of steak and it was not late night at all like 8pm, but what's up with no masks at all behind the counter. Never mind for the pandemic but sweaty dudes handling my dinner not caring about a pandemic and maybe not the cleanest place in the world. The service had something left to be desired. They had a vegan option for my friend. Veggie taco no cheese. So that was good. Unfortunately they didn't hear me say no cheese or sour cream in the beans and rice or to make it vegan; so my one vegan friend couldn't have it. I got the beef and chicken tacos and they were good. Stopped by a few days ago for their beans and rice side dish. Food truck setup in FMB area had long lines so I was hopeful that the reason was cos the food was good. I was under impressed with the quality of the food. Not tasty at all. Thank goodness I was super hungry. Have had better in almost every place that has that dish on its menu. Friendly service though and very good options for add ons like queso or pico de gallo. Better luck next time I guess. read more

Ambiance: This place is right outside the Lani Kai so it's pretty much always busy, especially with young teenagers. You come up to the window to order your food and wait for your name to be called. Very fun painted colors. There are a couple picnic tables and a couple high tops. No shaded tables if that's what your looking for. You need a key to get into the teeny tiny bathroom in the back. The cashier was very sweet. Food: So honestly a little bit of a let down. It was all really fresh so that was great. The flavor on the other hand was pretty bland. The portion sizes were actually pretty small for the price as well. I paid $7 for a large burrito that was about half the size of a chipotle burrito. First off the prices are outrageous. In my short time being there, multiple people left because of the prices. $30 for two quesadillas, I feel like I was scammed. The quesadillas was lacking meat and had too much cheese. The food is way too mid to be that pricey. No singular steak taco should ever be $7. The steak looks like frozen paper thin steak used for cheesesteaks not tacos. There also is only three parking spots. All other parking costs money. read more

Perhaps because I wasn't drunk when eating here, but we did not care for it. We had always wanted to try it, so stopped for dinner. One beef taco was 4.00. This seemed expensive. My husband usually eats anything, and he even spit it out. The tortilla chips were sooooooo salty, it was like eating salt from the shaker. The ground beef was bland. Should change their brand slogan to "I'll be there for you!" Perfect spot for drunk food near all the bars and a great pick-me-up located close to the beach or anything else you may need -- came here after a long day of traveling. Food hits the spot whether its tacos, quesadillas, or nachos (which are huge by the way). Average Americanized Mexican food, but its way better than Taco Bell for sure. Definitely a happening place. Longs lines most of the time I was in the area. I only had a Chicken soft taco. It was nothing out of this world, just a chicken soft taco to me. Prices were not bad considering you are at the beach. $2.50 for a beef, $3.25 for Chicken and $4 for Steak. Menus had burritos and a few other items. Wasn't able to get many pics. Great taco stand close to the beach. We passed by when walking home from the beach and got a whiff of the aroma. We unloaded our gear and walked back to pick up tacos for the crew. They offer steak, beef, chicken, and veggie. The steak tacos must be really good because they were out of steak two days in a row. We ordered a few beef, chicken, a quesadilla, burrito, and nachos. Not a complaint from the crew. Full of deliciousness. So good we went back the next night for more. This is best taco stand aka shack on the east coast. Everything was fresh and the pico had the perfect cilantro balance. Homemade shells and chips. Hot sauce was hot and simultaneously, irresistible. Have it all jacked up style. We will be back. read more

Yo, let's get tacos! So happy this place was in walking distance from our hotel and opened so late! I tried a beef and chicken taco and got them both jacked up (hard and soft taco sealed with queso in between them with sour cream and jalapeños). The chicken was my favorite! The beef tasted like seasoned taco beef that anyone can make at home. Hot sauce on the bar was good as well! After a night of bar hopping this was our staple for finishing up our night! So I'm not one to leave a bad review... but this experience had me in awe. I was shocked that the cashier had the audacity to argue with me. Fuckin idiots here charged me $5 for a taco then $2 for guac and put my taco on my bros plate even though we PAID SEPERATE. ‍ then I paid for guac, open the taco, I don't see guac and I asked him wheres the guac @? he said its on the bottom. I said where. You Literally couldn't even see it. Then I had to make it an issue because they didn't put the guac on it. Fucckin overpriced $9 tiny ass no meat taco They made it like I was in the wrong because they didn't put guac on it, like me and my brother yes we were together but paid seperate . I normally don't leave reviews, but this place was so awful, I just had to... I have been a strict vegetarian for the past ten years. I asked very clearly for a cheese quesadilla, and made sure to verify that there was absolutely NO meat in this order. What did I end up with? A chicken quesadilla. Unfortunately for me, I didn't realize this until I was already a few bites in. I brought it back to the counter and the woman working there threw it away for me and offered to redo the quesadilla... but it was too late. I was disgusted and nearly vomited. I'm sure most people would've loved to receive free chicken on their cheese quesadilla, but for me it was devastating. I even tried to make myself vomit. Please pay attention to the orders you receive! Needless to say, we will never be returning... so disappointing. read more

Our supper club went here last night. I had been once before and found it to be very noisy…read more However, last night at 5 o'clock was quite enjoyable. We could hear each other at the rectangular table. A round table would've been perfect. We had the very best waitress, Kobi, who was friendly and kind and considerate. All six of us enjoyed our choices.

I've had a couple of their agua fresca's , so refreshing and full of flavor (passionfruit, hibiscus and melon are my favorites so far. One of my favorite things to get on the menu is the Al pastor or chicken Gordita , stuffed completely full, pork/chicken is so tender and flavor full with cheese onions and cilantro to top it off, in a traditional Gordita pocket... unreal. The beef crunchy tacos are cheap and hit the spot. The carnitas are crispy and so tender, barbacoa beef has so much flavor and very moist! The side of beans is a must, love them and their simplicity . All their sauces are green and red are delicious, full of flavor and spice if you like a kick. I love that there is a drive thru option for quick on the go or you can go sit down enjoy one of their many Hispanic beers or sangria inside . The service is always spot on and it may take longer than traditional drive thru fast food, because it's not fast food. Always forget to take pictures , but will add when I get some!

The Barbacoa and Al Pastor had great flavor as well, but three tacos were too much for me. I also tried the chips and guacamole. The guacamole as just average, and I didn't care for the chips. Too thick!
