People will think I own this place. After my first visit, which we ordered the Cuban sandwich and chorizo burrito, I went back. I had to try the chorizo burrito and try some carnitas and asado tacos..AWESOME on everything. Went back again today. We got the asado quesadilla and I got a chicken empanada. OMG, AWESOME! Everything has been wonderful. If you're close by, hurry to this place.

Best burrito EVER. I got the Chicken Burrito. I'm weird about meat and it was delicious! I don't know if it was how the rice was seasoned or the ratio of burrito fillings but it was the best burrito I've ever had! The gal taking orders wasn't wearing a mask, which made me a little nervous considering COVID-19 is currently rampant in FL, but we double sanitized our hands (which we do anyways) before eating. Again, best burrito EVER!

Great food, good price. Had Cuban a sandwich, sweet plantains and beef empanada. All was really fantastic and flavorful. Everything was cooked to order so it took a few more minutes but it was well worth the wait. Highly recommended! read more

Hands down the best burrito that I've ever had. I was a little skeptical because it has 7 meats which I thought might be overkill. However it's full a flavor, fresh veggies and is best enjoyed freshly cooked. I hope Cubamex enjoys all of the success that they desire. I highly recommend trying them out. read more

We loved it. My daughter is very picky about food. The burritos were stuffed so much a fork was required to eat it. The empanadas were crispy and hot, not to mention tasted great. The Cuban was made so well it didn't fall apart and was quite full. The rating is for a food truck compared to other counter service food establishments. We will definitely go back. read more

This truck knocks it out of the park! As a Mexican married to a Cuban this hits home for us. I've had the pupusas, burrito, Cuban sandwich, and tacos. Authentic taste, priced right, made to order, friendly service. I haven't had to wait longer than I would expect for fresh food. If I wanted fast food I'd go to McDonald's. I'd wait as long as it takes for the quality and taste of the food served here. read more

Great food! Authentic Mexican tacos! They lack some expected add-ons like guacamole and Pico di Gallo but do have red and green sauce. It's not fast food so call ahead or be prepared to wait a few minutes. And the menus on Facebook and Google are incorrect. read more

Fabulous food. Fresh, interesting, and nice people. Cuban sandwich with bacon was delicious, my shrimp and chicken tacos were tasty. And the price was right! Glad to have this place in my neighborhood. We waited 10-12 minutes for our food, which may not be fast food but I don't mind waiting for fresh custom made food. read more

Stopped by after work yesterday for some dinner. Picked up a few goodies. Wife had the chicken quesadillas. They were solid, nothing groundbreaking, but note, they cooked the tortillas very well, nice and crispy brown. I ordered the California burrito with carne asada. This was very good, and HUGE! I wish I knew they cut that bad boy in half, because I was not eating it right away, and it made it hard to heat up later. Taste was excellent, if a bit messy. Also ordered an order of the fried pork with tostones and black beans. This was EXCELLENT! The tostones were fantastic, and the black beans perfect. A tostone covered with some fried pork, and smothered with the black beans was a bit of heaven. Now for the 2 hot sauces. Red was tasty, they said hot, but it was medium at best. The green was even more tasty, excellent in fact, but no heat. I used all 6 sauces on my meal. Service was quick, but there was nobody in line. A few guys sitting at the tables eating. Will return for sure. read more

Amazing food and the portions are huge!! Best tamales I've ever had!! The burrito was perfect. Everything was seasoned very well and the flavors burst through in every bite. Manny was very nice and was patient as I navigated through the menu. He explained several of items and what was in them and then I was able to get exactly what I wanted. Carmen is an amazing cook!! It felt like a loving home cooked meal. The tacos were perfect also. If you haven't eaten there already, what are you waiting for!! Since I can't give more than 5 stars I will add more here. Never had anything like this before. We ordered 7 steak tacos. Price was $2.50 per taco and buy 5 get one free. The tacos were tiny And only thing the tacos had on them were the steak and some cilantro in mini soft tortilla wrap nothing else. Not worth the $2.50 for each definitely and if it had been good it would have taken like 3 to be equal to one regular size taco. Also took 15 mins for just 7 tacos. read more

If you are looking for a quick bite, this is not the food truck for you. It took over 20 minutes to get 2 sandwiches and fries. The menu is pretty large for a food truck, unfortunately they couldn't make the 2 things I originally ordered because they were out of onion rings and the bread to make a medianoche sandwich. So we decided on regular Cuban sandwiches. The sandwiches themselves were huge! They did come with sautéed red onions which I've never had on a Cuban before but I found it to be a surprisingly nice twist. The fries were good as well. Hopefully once they get their bearings they will be a bit quicker. read more

This place was awesome. We ordered the chicken tacos, beef tacos, and fries to eat there, and tamales and rice and beans to go. You might wait a little longer for your food to be prepared, but it is WORTH IT! Everything was made to order, so it was so fresh, piping hot, and tasted amazing. Sergio is super friendly too. Just brought home dinner for me and my wife from this food truck and it was wonderful! Very flavorful. Place is super clean which is so rare but such a plus in a food truck! Great customer service. Prices are different than their facebook or menu. Super slow, two sandwiches and a burrito take more than 25 min to make and they were empty. This is bad for a place in a gas station NOT a quick bite at all. With its cobblestone streets, white church, colorful buildings, plaza and breathtaking view on the Nutibara Hill, it becomes a popular tourist attraction in Medellin! Pueblito Paisa was built in 70's to replicate a typical Antioquian Village to showcase their lifestyle and heritage! Mi Pueblito Paisa started as food truck at 4509 Lee Blvd, Lehigh Acres serving Columbian cuisine. In late 2023, they moved to FGCU's University Village. It is situated next to Tacos and Tequila Cantina. It has six inside tables and more than dozen outside tables. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Sunday! We walked in for early dinner on Saturday. The staff is very hospitable, friendly and answered many questions we had. This location was a take-out restaurant with heavy deep-fried items. The ambiance was simple other than the huge Mi Pueblito Paisa sign with customs and hats. If you go to www. mipueblitopasia.com, or Facebook or Instagram, it still refers to the Lehigh Acres food truck location and menu. The new menu using QR code on the table was not working in my iPhone. The new menu at the University Village is greatly expanded. Their web site or social media is work in progress! I have images of some of popular Columbian dishes from home and with the help of our server, we ordered a Salchipapas, and Cazuela de Marisco with a nice Mora fruit drink! The Salchipapas, one of popular fast-food dish commonly served as street food. The Pueblito Paisa version has crunchy French Fries topped with sausage, pork belly, white cheese in condiments. The sausage and pork belly added the savory taste to the fries! The portion was huge and we took half portion home! Th Cazuela de Marisco was a seafood stew that is served with Avocado/tomato salad, coconut rice and fried plantains or tostones. We spotted Arroz Congri (Moros Rice), Fried Rice, Ropa Vieja (shredded beef), Carne con Papas (beef stew) and Rabo Encendido (oxtail stew) in the first hot food section. Quick survey, tells us there are many other choices. But immediately, my instinct tells me, you got try your favorite oxtail! Wife was oscillating between shredded beef and beef stew. She opted for beef stew. Our drinks were simple, bottled water and a Jarrito's Mandarin drink! Both dishes were spot on and flavorful. Oxtail stew was made in a flavorful beef-tomato broth that's slow-cooked for hours until the oxtail meat is tender and fall-off-the-bone juicy. It is mouthwatering! In fact, Michael (or Mai Kor) behind the counter telling us if you don't like the food, it is free! The portions are huge! We took home the left over for lunch next day! There are ceviche, shish kabab and other Latin flavors, as well as bakery items, Gelatos, fresh fruit juices and Sandwiches available. We like the setup in the dining area. Tasteful decorated and clean but only have a small short artistic waste container. Probably need one or two fairly large waste containers to accommodate possible 40+ customers. This is 4.5 stars upping to 5 stars! Definitely will be back. I just texted my friend, see you at Lavita for lunch, on Tuesday!
