The staff are always friendly and happy to help. Inside it is spread over two floors, downstairs they mainly sell clothes, ornaments, books, videos and toys. And upstairs they sell large items of furniture such as tables, wardrobes and sofas. I normally come in here to look at the toys as they have some nice second hand toys in here for toddlers. It is also nice and spacious and one of the only charity shops that you can get around easily with a pushchair.

It is cheap to get in and they have a raffle each week. I think the acoustic night is a good way to showcase the talent in the area and to encourage people who wouldn't normally perform live to get up and have a go. The club has an open mic night every Thursday and every third Thursday they hold a showcase and buffet night where local performers or bands from further away play 50 minute sets.

Places to sit and chat with friends, an computer corner to catch up with the internet and Board Room type table for corporate activities. The morning I visited an animated group of experienced seamstresses were at work designing some intricate items for further enhancement or enjoyment. Three days a week the coffee shop aspect is operational and one can enjoy a drink or snack with quite a choice. The concept Is to provide an interactive centre for folk recovering from mental health problems and at the same time educating the public concerning mental health issues. Dotted discretely around the centre are decorative items of tastefully displayed bric-a-brac which I sense may be for sale. It all just bends into the natural decorative effect of the centre and even gracefully spills out onto the pavement. Definitely worth a visit.. Global Nomad
