While I'm only able to attend once or twice per week, their structured programming is top-notch and fully prepared me for my first HYROX in New York City, where, against all the terrible factors in play, like weather, I was able to put up a time that I really respected. Not only that, but the community was there to cheer me on every step of the way. That is the type of environment that I look for when picking a workout gym. As a personal trainer myself, I recognize my limitations and seek out fitness partners like CrossFit Redeemed to help me reach the next level. I'm so excited to continue training with them and to beat my time in Toronto with this amazing group in October.

The senior center's director is an amazing woman who really cares about not just her job, but for those for whom she does this job. And the activities director is also pretty fantastic. She makes sure the seniors have movie nights, exercise classes, relevant guest speakers, and even fun trips. There are a lot of volunteer opportunities at the senior center as well. The building is sometimes used as a shelter during storms, and some of the seniors will volunteer to work during these times. In addition, it's used as a polling place, where many seniors find opportunities to serve their community. My mom also volunteers in the kitchen sometimes helping to prepare meals, at the front desk, and wherever else there's a need. She has delivered meals for Meals on Wheels through a program at the Clarence Senior Center. Every month we get a newsletter in the mail that outlines all the great programs that are available to members. Some things are there every month: weekly Bingo, Pinochle, Wood working, and a few other things. But then sometimes there are local trips, like to the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute and restaurant. They occasionally have mystery tours as well, where the travelers signed up don't know where they are going until they get there. Those are always fun trips (I know because my mom has asked me to join her on a few of them). If you've got a parent or loved one who is looking for somewhere they can go to play cards or Bingo or just to hang out and meet other seniors, this is a safe and welcoming environment. I highly recommend checking it out!

This property consists of the Lancaster Youth Bureau, Lancaster Senior Center, and bandshell, used…read moremostly for Lancaster Town Band concerts. The concerts take place every Tuesday nights at 7:30 in the summer and are free. The program is 1 hour long and the music is a good mix of popular, show tunes, patriotic, and a classical piece, and they always draw a large crowd. They feature singers as well and each concert is themed. There are a few benches, but most people bring chairs or a blanket to sit on to watch the concerts. The concerts are dog and kid friendly too. High schoolers walk around to sell candy bars and sometimes there are 50-50 raffles. Clean bathrooms located inside the Youth Bureau to use during concerts. Additionally, there's also plenty of free parking in their parking lot, but also on-street parking on the adjacent streets (Oxford Ave, 1st Ave and 2nd Ave).
