The past two months, we've seen big change not only in his attitude towards learning, but his ability to sound out words and recognize them. He LOVES going to the learning center and actually looks forward to tutoring. Not to hurt the feelings of any of the teachers, but Mrs. Wilson is his absolute favorite - he always talks about how fun it is to learn with her. At his last assessment, he had improved more than we had anticipated, and we couldn't be more happy. Their professionalism and efficiency is genuinely impressive. We are so happy we made the decision to enroll Bentley into tutoring at Sylvan. We couldn't encourage others more to look into this establishment.

I just recently utilized one of their free services which was a "Budget For Baby" class. You can either attend one of the classes with others, or schedule a one-on-one meeting with one of the counselors. I met with Dee and she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! I had a lot of "light bulb moments" during our session and walked out actually EXCITED to break down our budgeting! After the class, you are gifted with a layette that consists of a handmade baby blanket, sheets, and other baby goodies! You also get a one time pass for a thrift store shopping spree! I got bags and bags of baby clothes and other necessities. After our meeting, Dee also mentioned that they have nurses that will come to your house and help you after baby arrives. They can also take baby's measurements and send them to the pediatrician if it's too difficult to make a trip to their office for a checkup. I can't wait to utilize this service! I highly highly HIGHLY recommend that everyone look into the services they offer! Both turned out absolutely delicious and instructions were very clear - I actually feel comfortable recreating these at home. Our instructor was Cat, who was extremely knowledgeable and kept the class going at a great pace. I also really liked her humor! I found her jokes super funny and she kept me engaged, never bored. We got to sample lots of the instructor's bread at the end of class and took home our own breads, which were HUGE. Plenty to share with family and I froze some too.

The problem was the instructor, Leah Starr, who was consistently rude and condescending. On our way home afterward, my daughter asked, "what was wrong with her?" No idea - no one in class acted out of turn or caused problems. It was very unprofessional. Unfortunately, when I followed up with the school to ask, they said you're not able to find out the instructor's name in advance, which is enough for us not to take a chance on going back.

You learn a lot by doing this tour and help the animals as they rely on donations to stay open. I would highly recommend taking a trip to do this! Very cool experience!
