Lucy turns on the heat to keep the studio warm for baby so it may get a bit warm for parents who stay for the whole session. We really enjoyed the whole photography session of her photographing our daughter. While her sessions are affordable at $250 but her photos can go on the pricy range depending on what you choose. We ended up choosing the $1100 that was the best package for its value of what is included especially if you want full high resolution images instead choosing the a la carte that may be slightly cheaper but you don't get as much. What I wished that I had done differently in retrospect knowing that we purchased the full package was to have more shot in different wraps, props and outfits.

So I wanted a photographer that would be able to capture the emotions of my (now) fiancée and the vibe of the moment, but with an artistic touch. I am so happy I found Neil, as the pictures came out exceeding my expectations. Neil is a gifted photographer who is able to use all the elements in the environment to capture beautiful pictures. As we were shooting, I could see him racking up his brain to find the perfect angle and elements in the background for his ideas. He was directing us precisely on how to pose and managed to get us looking really good even though we have no posing experience. Also, I had this whole elaborate plan to surprise my fiancée for the proposal and Neil was very patient and engaged in collaborating with me. Thanks to his willingness to play along, the plan worked out perfectly. It is also interesting to note that during that day, Neil suggested a last minute change in the plan that ended becoming the best decision made. That shows his great creativity and ressourcefulness. I waited 45 minutes outside in the pouring ice rain in winter while I was 8 months pregnant. I tried contacting them through emails and phone calls but it took the 7th call for them to finally call me back. Eventually the photographer finally arrived, and took my photos. She was very kind and very easy going. On the same day, the management contacted me to pay them a higher priced than what was advertised. After I etransferred them, they then messaged me the correct amount, but I already etransferred them the money.. they didn't give me back the extra amount either. They told me it should take 1 month for the photos to be edited and sent to me digitally. 3 months have gone by, now it's March and I heard nothing from them. I contacted management and she finally messaged me to select the photos I like. Then another month went by.. and they finally send me the photos in a Google drive album. I saved them, but a month later, the photos won't open after I saved them.. unsure why. I tried contacting the management hoping they can help me find a solution, but they completely ignored me. It is now 2 days away from July. Half a year have gone by. I spent $1000 for photos that I have no access to. I hope no one goes through what I went through. This just feels like a scam. I wished to capture my pregnancy in memories, in beautiful photos. They advertised an amazing job for maternity and baby photoshoot, but this pains me and filled me with regret for going to them. I can't even retake the photos with a different company because I already had my baby. I was going to come back to them for baby photoshoot, but now I hope everyone finds a different company to take their photos.

I never thought a passport photo centre would be notable enough to merit a review. However, the…read moreNorth York Passport Photo Centre offers convenience and outstanding service. The shop is located in the government building that also houses the North York Passport Office so it is convenient. The photo centre guarantees that their photos will be acceptable to the passport office and, since they are right downstairs from the office, in the very unlikely event that your photo needs to be re-taken, you only need to pop downstairs to get it re-done. Since the shop guarantees it, there is no additional charge for a re-take if the photo is rejected. The shop has a homey, welcoming feel and the proprietors are extremely friendly. They have thought of the client's needs. For example they have tissues and baby powder available on the counter so clients can blot their face to take down any facial shine before the photo is taken. The lighting is also a little softer than the usual unflattering fluorescent lit shops. In short, they try to make the most of what is typically a fairly unflattering photo and all in a turn around time of about 3 minutes. At $15.99 I felt I got excellent value at the North York Passport Photo Centre. While there are photo centres that offer cheaper passport photos (in fact I had a photo taken at one the day before where I paid $10.00 for a really awful looking photo taken under very harsh light that I ended up throwing away), I can't think of one that offers the convenience, level of service and added touches that make this shop stand out.
