The chef just dumped the pile of food on the plate and it was very messy. All the fish were broken in to pieces and the chicken was overcooked. The already cooked buffet was quite good but too salty for my taste. The waiter there was also unfriendly. Went there two times but won't be going there anymore. Try the Teppanyaki in Lugner city called Wok Today, much better!

Spicy, flavorful, and generous portions of meat. - Stir-fried fresh garlic sprouts with shredded pork - great, and I particularly enjoyed the refreshing crispiness of the garlic sprouts. - Stir-fried beef strips with green pepper - not the best green pepper beef dish I've had, but okay enough. The dish was a bit mushy for me. - Fried glass noodles with vegetables (side dish) - good light and simple dish. Larger portion than I'd expect for a side dish. - Martini extra dry - good drink with a nice amount of dryness (without being too dry). - Martini rossa - good but certainly has a sweet and bold flavor.

I had the lunch special which costs 10 Euro including dessert. The starter was "spicy cucumber salad". It was fine. The main was stir-fried duck with vegetables & steamed rice. The duck had extremely overcooked; it had already been cooked before it was stir-fried and recooked. Since it had been cooked so many times and for so long, it had a tough, dry, unpleasant texture, which is unfortunate, since duck in Chinese cuisine is typically juicy & succulent. The rest of the dish (vegetables) were fine, but there wasn't much flavour. Thankfully, they provided soy sauce & chili sauce that I could use to season the food. The dessert was deep-fried banana. Lychee juice was fine (3.60 Euro) Service was good. I'd be fine with trying Sichuan again, since it's possible that the dish with the recooked duck was just particularly bad... although I don't like that they served re-cooked duck meat without letting customers know that's what we're ordering.

The portions are more than enough for 2 people. The beef noodle was spicy but in an addictive way. The vegetables were cooked to just cooked which I was fine with. The pork was crispy and were in big pieces. Overall food was hearty and delicious. Portions are decent for the price point and the service was fast and very nice.

The owners of Chen's are dishonest. Ran my credit card for $300+ after I paid ~$30 for lunch for my…read morewife and I. I did not see this charge until returning home to the US from vacation. I called them repeatedly to try and get a refund but was treated very rudely and rebuffed. I am sure I am not the first tourist they have done this to. Avoid Chen's like the plague that they are!
