I was on vacation on the Cape recently, and was with a friend when we stopped by the store... mind…read moreyou we were on vacation, taking in the scenery and enjoying stopping by local stores to browse and shop. I was in this store and witnessed a bizarre interaction with the owner and another customer who was just testing out the candles and air fresheners on display. He yelled at the man as if he was a small child destroying his wares! The man was not destroying or breaking any merchandise - after all, when one shops...we as customers need to inspect if the merchandise is damaged or is in the correct packaging before purchasing products. I was shocked as the owner's behavior escalated into a full-blown rage towards this customer. I then left the store and was walking down the steps towards the parking lot when I saw the owner run down the lawn after the man while yelling and screaming, dropping the F bomb at this man, approaching his car in a very aggressive manner to see where the man came from... stating that he was from Florida & to "go back to Florida!" This man who owns the store obviously has some anger issues and is mentally unstable. I have read previous reviews from people that had the same experience with this shop owner...If this man cannot handle "out-of-towners," then maybe he should retire. If it weren't for seasonal visitors, your local business would not survive. I was only in that store for 10 minutes and that was enough for me. There are many other stationary stores in the world with more professional customer service!! Definitely do not waste your time and stop by this business. This guy is bat shit crazy!!!!

It's a great gift shop, featuring "costume jewelry" (I hate that term, but it's not gold & diamonds), but also with beautiful silk lampshades ( I've bought many over the years for my B&B inn Boston), art glass, mirrors, hair accessories (the only "clips" I've found that hold my long hair up without tearing it), little cute boxes, figurines, etc. I've been shopping there for years and I have never walked out without a bag in hand! The buyers are exceptional and always seem to choose a wonderful variety of economic to high end goods. The art glass & shiny crystal earrings are my personal faves, but there's so much to look at! Happy shopping!

Western inspired clothing and gifts made this the perfect stop for carnival week, which happened to have the theme of "Wild, Wild West." This place has everything from western clothing, belt buckles, hats (one of which was graciously purchased for me by my fellow yelper Dawn-- loves her!), and they even had a very anatomically incorrect pre-Columbian fertility statue. The staff and owner made this one of my favorite stops during my entire trip. We laughed and laughed for a good amount of time with the staff, a welcome respite from the stuffy, holier-than-thou shopkeepers and retail staff found in a few of the other Provincetown establishments. I feel this is a must stop while in P-town and it is also lesser known since it has only been open for five weeks. Do yourself a favor and mosey on down the walkway next to Patio and venture into the little shop. Say hello to the owner and smile, they will do the rest and make sure you have a pleasurable shopping experience. If you don't know about something or want to know more, they will graciously give you the back story. Giddyup Pardners!

This isn't a trinket place. It's not a touristy knick-knack place. This is artwork. Fine, hand-painted ornaments. Gorgeous, really gorgeous stuff. I particularly like their painted goose egg ornaments. Their lighthouses are beautiful too. Oh, but that doesn't mean you can't have a sense of humor. They've got just hilarious ornaments too. How can you resist not buying a goldfish with an afro and a disco ball Christmas ornament? Exactly. I had to buy it. I took a photo of it and attached it. I buy an ornament every time I'm in town. It's now a tradition. This place is great. Even if you aren't in to Christmas all the time. Every time I've gone the employees have been awesome. Happy, friendly, and fun to talk to. Go there now!!!
