There were parts we were both totally like "what the hell", "OMG" and "Did that just happen", there was also parts of complete and utter tosh. I mean they had some very good acts, one was the standard that you would expect at a children's party, one guy, Den Den, goodness knows how he expected us to stay awake by folding and producing bits of paper. I was bored out of my mind for his part. The inventor was just properly naff. Pretending to saw off the lower half of a body and you can see the guy with his legs folded up in his chest, like seriously?!?! Colin Cloud was brilliant. He also spent a lot of time after the show signing programs, taking pictures and speaking to the public after the show. I only bought £35 seat tickets, so it wasn't too bad. If I had spent a penny more, I would have been really quite annoyed. It seems that there are some cracking performers, but they have filled the gaps with some really rather naff acts.

First, we were told it was out of order. Later, we saw people waiting for it with an employee so we waited as well but it was such a long wait we decided to continue with the stairs. The Walkway is on the crosswalk above the roadway. The Tower Bridge itself dates from the nineteenth century and is an impressive structure. It is very ornate as typical of that period. It isn't the fabled London Bridge which came tumbling down however. The Walkways, for which there is a charge, provide some spectacular views of the Thames. The Bridge is a lift bridge to allow ship passage upriver and the old lift machinery is on display. I visited the bridge with my eight year old grandson, who is easily bored, and he enjoyed it. I am glad I went but don't have a desire to return.

We had no trouble finding our seats, which were located pretty centrally in the middle of the theater. The seats are staggered so even our daughter had a good view. There were free boosters for kids, which was welcome, especially since this is a child-friendly show. It was centrally located in the West End so we had a pub meal immediately before and explored the Covent Garden and Chinatown neighborhoods after.

The character acting was flawless and an absolute masterclass. My main complaints were with the building, which was extremely hard to navigate with limited signage, and the fact it's an ages 4+ requirement and they let in numerous children who clearly were 1-3 years old. The children were so young there were complaints related to their chattering and an attendant had to come out and talk with our section. Would I recommend this over the other shows we've seen in London (The Mousetrap and Hamilton)? No. It's a fun little jaunt, but much less magical than expected. There were numerous backstage gaps in the set which felt jarring and you could clearly see the lace front for almost all wigs used in the production. And sadly, the view from the aisle ends is fairly poor - generally the production is not a good fit for the theater. All in all, it's closing January 2027 so if you're a Studio Ghibli fan, you'll likely enjoy it, but I would make sure to get center stalls or as close to center as you can to get the full effect.
