I had been prescribed an…read moreanabiotic that had horrendous side effects that I was not comfortable with so the doctor did a lab test and sent it in for pathology on the bacteria in order to specifically target another antibiotic. I suspect that the doctor never read the report after it arrived. Not only did I have to wait five days for a new antibiotic while suffering through a terrible urinary tract infection, but when the office called they said the results were "positive!" Positive is not what I was looking for, I was expecting specific pathology to target the bacteria. They also said "we've prescribed an anabiotic for you and called it into your pharmacy". Guess what antibiotic they had prescribed after waiting a week?! precisely the one that I was uncomfortable with because of its potential side effects! I will never use this physician or office again. The office business practices seem to be unorganized with no attention to the wishes of the patient. The office communicates poorly with the patient and it's very impersonal.

They don't respond promptly to phone or through the portal. The pre-authorization department requested approval for the wrong test, not the one the doctor ordered. Lucky for me, I worked in insurance and had access through my insurance portal to catch this and get them to fix it so it would be paid for. I would question their billing practices. You walk in the door and take a left, and get a scan which they bill as "clinic" and take a right after you enter for a procedure they bill as an ambulatory clinic. All in the same building. This resulted in two co-payments instead of one. Seems unethical when all in the same building.
