Tea-Rex! Lol
Rachel R.

I'm always a fan of laid back elite events! I'm glad to know about this place! I love tea, albeit I still need a little sugar in mine, but trying so many favors was deliciously awesome! I'm still salivating over those triple chocolate brownies. I would seriously pop in just for those! The vegan and gluten free wraps were great. I think me and my gluten free friend might have a lady date spot to go to more often now! I loved that there were a bunch of different flavors going from one end of the spectrum to the other. I'm offficially in love with the peach. This was a great event and a great idea on a chilly night!

It's Tea Time, baby!

So yeah, this event was AMAZING...DUH! I am absolutely in love with this place. We all know that there is good food all over the city but it is rare to find a place where they know where all of their ingredients come from and offer a VERY healthy menu. LOVE IT! If you like tea, this is the place for you. Let me recommend that you skip the prepackaged tea-bags or the name brand place at the mall, and HEAD HERE IMMEDIATELY! The owner, Tracy, knows way too much about tea! I thought I liked/knew about tea...this chick blew my mind. She was ready to make recommendations and advice and information. The space is amazing and inviting and relaxing and just the best. It is the type of place where you could just hang out all day and try one of all of the teas and one of all of the desserts! Oh yeah, GET THE VEGGIE WRAP! So addictive! The only bummer of the night was that I was buying tea when the Pun Game started! So upset that I missed that one :)

Before Essencha, I had not had the pleasure of drinking tea that wasn't mass produced and came in a baggie.

(Tagged below, I've included several other reviews of people speaking on both DAN and STEVE and…read moretheir terrible customer service.) I want to start my review off by saying I've been eating here since I was a little girl, and unfortunately this will be my last time here. Yesterday afternoon I placed an order for two pizzas for pickup. After receiving them & making it home, I noticed one of the pizzas was made absolutely wrong and looked extremely disgusting (pictured below). I then called back to express my concern with my order and to find a solution, but the manager and owner, DAN/DANIEL/DANNY KRIMMPER, was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful towards me. When we first got on the phone, he was hostile, which I couldn't understand but didn't take offense to; however, he was just extremely disrespectful & rude to me the entire conversation. He offered no support, assistance, or empathy towards HIS business giving BAD food. He actually told me since I didn't like it and the pizza was so bad, I should just never come back (and by his request, I will not). He was so nasty to me; I was so overwhelmed and upset. I reached out to the Silverton location to see if I could speak with another owner/manager about this situation, so this morning I called Silverton to speak with Steve Krimmper, and he was also rude. He brushed off my concerns, told me there was nothing he could do for me, said he didn't know what I was expecting to be done, and couldn't speak to whether Dan was rude (even after I told him about several others saying he was rude as well). He even went as far as telling me "I know about the bad reviews but I take all online reviews with a grain of salt". As if that's an appropriate thing to tell a long term customer who is making a complaint. This is my last time eating here; I'll never be back & make sure nobody I know visits either.

Love walking down those steps, waiting for your eyes to adjust, while knowing you're somewhere special. Luckily, after not too long of a wait we were seated!! We had the most amazing bartenders, Trevor was fantastic! They all were. We had another absolutely out of this world meal. Love their oil packed tuna, their bistecca fiorentina and the pappardelle al cinghiale!! Unfortunately, we had no room for dessert so we're going to have to go back again to eat more. Haha Oh and we actually tried their Blue Oven bread for the first time and it was incredible. What a fabulous restaurant! So lucky to have it here in Cincinnati! We don't even miss La Normandie anymore!

First time in Cincinnati -- dined at Sotto the evening after the Flying Pig Half…read more I went solo and sat at the bar. The ambiance is intimate and very dim, mostly candlelit. It's a nice vibe, though definitely on the darker side. I ordered the black kale salad, cappellacci (short rib, shallot, thyme), and the branzino. * The kale salad was solid, but a bit heavy on the pecorino. * The cappellacci was decent, though the accompanying elements didn't quite work for me. * The branzino was cooked well, but overall the dish didn't stand out in flavor. In general, the food felt underwhelming for the price. My bill was around $100, and I didn't feel the quality or flavor justified it. Some dishes came across a bit muted -- not sure if that's the intended style, but it didn't land for me. Parking in the area was also a bit inconvenient. Overall: great ambiance, but the food didn't meet expectations for the cost. I probably wouldn't return.
