Awesome Yelp event. Chris and Bend Rock Gym put on a super unique scavenger hunt for our group of…read morefearless Yelpers. Admission, shoes and harness rental were complimentary, along with a quick instructional demo of the auto-belay system. Yelp schwag cards were strategically placed along the climbing routes, and we scrambled to collect as many cards and climbs in for the night. There were also healthy treats like Kind bars, cuties, and water when our tired arms needed a break. It was a fun way to get acquainted with what the gym has to offer, catch up with Yelp friends old and new, and generally have a very Bend kind of Friday night.

This was a fantastic event. I fell as I got on the board, but never fell, again. I was standing…read moreand paddling in no time at all and even made my way around some rocks and rapids! Woo hoo! Danielle, the instructor, was very encouraging and her tips gave me the confidence to paddle fast and let go of doubt. At the end of our instruction and travel along the river, most of the students and I were discussing when we would be back on the water while drinking our Good Life beer. We participated in the Modern Games and Go Team Shenanigans collaboration hunt, and we had a great…read moretime! I am a local, but I got to explore and learn about art in my community that I had no idea was there! I brought a friend from out of town, and she had a great time solving the riddles and exploring, too! Go Team Shenanigans were available by email/text when we were stuck. The hunt had a variety of clues and businesses/locations/art, so we were entertained the entire time. This was such a great bonding experience and SO much fun! I plan to bring my husband for the couple's hunt, and I can't wait to see additional collaborations in the future.
