In 2022 we had some aspen infected with a fungal disease removed, and a mature honey locust trimmed specifically to remove a large branch hanging down too low for us to bring our fifth wheel up our driveway. The honey locust looked bare when I saw what they were doing; I reminded them we were only concerned about taking the one large low hanging branch off, not taking the tree down. I reminded them it was the aspens in the back yard we wanted taken down. They said they always trimmed honey locusts pretty severely because they come back so quickly. However, over the winter a 5 in diameter branch that used to go across most of our front yard died. When I called them about it they never returned the call and I had to have someone else take that large limb off. There are suckers coming straight up from the lowest large branch that just snap off. Now, a year later another 4 in diameter branch is dead higher up. Before trimming this tree had not lost limbs. This year we attempted to get an estimate for removing 2 sand cherry trees, and trimming a maple with some dead branches. Instead we got one price that also included trimming a different mature honey locust located in our back yard. Since I wasn't happy with how the honey locust they trimmed in 2022 was doing I did not want them to trim the other one. I asked for itemized estimate. Instead of sending that to me, they say they sent that to my husband, who had not been communicating with them. My husband never got it. I asked for clarification of what stump removal included and whether I would be able to plant something else there if they did the stump removal. Instead of getting an answer to that Tom Yelvington sent an unprofessional, condescending email suggesting we call someone else. So we have read more
