Having learned from experience that it isn't always easy or even possible to get a ride to the train station at 5:00 in the morning, we made sure to schedule a pickup the day before. Taxi was supposed to arrive at 5:15. We checked the tracking at 5:16 and it showed the car that was supposed to be picking us up, not moving. A few minutes later, we checked again and it said "Trip Canceled". That's it. No reason given, and no text letting us know our taxi just wouldn't be showing up, so if we didn't just *happen* to be looking at the tracking, we would have had no idea they would never be arriving. Scheduled an 7:00am medical appointment 3 weeks ago with yellow cab. Cab Showed up 38 mins late on the appointment day which made my mom lated for her appointment. I usually take Uber but I been using yellow cab bc I am sick so I get picked up and dropped off for only Medi-Cal rides. Uber drivers are way much better drivers than majority of the taxis I've taken. I don't even know if anybody reads the rate my driver or even where to find it except during the ride. I'm currently with a driver who told me he was outside. I'm sick walk out and waited 10 minutes in the cold and rain and it seems like none of these drivers can drive in traffic. He's also picked me up three times and each time he keeps spitting in the car it's so gross. The guy that picked me up earlier kept braking hard I was so scared as he was driving so fast in the heavy rain and then he would just brake hard. I was so nauseous afterwards. Horrible experience. I will NEVER use Yellow Cab again. I called for a cab at 3am. The driver got there and asked how I was going to pay. I told him cash as soon as we got to my motel. He wanted the cash or card BEFORE we got to my motel. He rolled up the window and drove away. I'm 63 years old and he leaves me there in downtown San Jose at 3am. I will never use them again. Worst service EVER!!!! No show (multiple times), always late (when they did arrive), and VERY rude dispatch ladies. Undependable and terrible costumer service. With this last call, I scheduled 3 hours ahead of time, then did 3 follow up calls to make sure they were on time. I did this to resolve unreliable service from previous interactions. But this STILL did not help. Even though I took all that time to call, follow up, etc., they fell through and my last call ended up with the dispatch lady yelling at me and hanging up. terrible experience. - the cab never showed up ! a couple days before my trip, i booked it through online and got an email of confirmation very quickly. sounds good. On the departure day, to ensure they didn't forget me, i called dispatcher 20 min earlier before the time (actually called twice), they said no problem and the cab should come soon.....then i was just standing in the street and waiting ....until 10 min past the time. I took a yellow cab from the airport to my company head quarters. I asked the driver why the cab was too hot and he ignored me. Taxi companies don't like the disruption of uber of lyft but they use the air conditioning. No business woman wants to sweat in her nice cloths or have her hair flying all over the place. I will be asking my company not to call yellow cab and asking the airport for a different company if yellow cab is the one waiting. read more

This was by far the cab service I've ever used. JT was amazing, he picked us up at our hotel within 10mins and made us laugh the whole ride to the club. Unfortunately a friend got sick and he was so nice to pull over while she released whatever was in her stomach and stopped the meter!! I hope he doesn't get in trouble for that but the alternative was cleaning his cab of her waste lol. We also tipped I'm highly on top of the can fare to make up for the few minutes we had to stop. I've mostly had good experiences with Yellow Cab, but as a few of these complaints demonstrate, you can expect from time to time that they won't arrive on time. As I use the company mostly to get to the airport, this is a major problem. The last time this happened, I didn't get notified that my driver wasn't arriving until he was supposed to be there. The service said they simply didn't have anyone else in the area. I explained that I'd made a reservation, so how was it possible that no driver was set up to pick me up? Though I repeatedly asked what a reservation meant at Yellow Cab, the dispatcher just asked me over and over if I still wanted the driver to show up. I hung up and called Lyft. This appears to happen periodically with Yellow Cab, which begs the question: If you can't provide a cab, why are you taking reservations? read more

Waited almost 40 minutes for our cab because he went to the wrong hotel. I provided our hotel address to dispatcher and the driver. When the driver finally picked us up he wasn't in a "yellow cab" it was a different cab and the driver didn't bother to help us load and unload he just popped the trunk open. I have been using Swift Airport shuttle for over 2 years and they have always been on time. Our driver is Jesse because we request and has always been on time. If our flight is delayed from SFO he tracks and doesn't charge us waiting time. Every time you need a ride ask for Jesse to be your driver. read more

DONT USE THIS COMPANY!! On June 21 I booked online for a pickup on the 23 at 5AM. I received a confirmation email the same day advising I would receive a text or call 20 minutes before the arrival time. I had to be at the airport by 5:30 AM. 15 minutes before the scheduled pick up I still had not heard anything so I called the company. The dispatcher assured me the driver was on his way. At 5:05 I called and advised them the driver had not arrived. The dispatcher said he would call me back in two minutes. 5 minutes later I had to call the dispatcher back. He advised he was unable to reach the driver and he may have fallen asleep. By this time I had 15 minutes to get to the airport. The dispatcher said he would send another driver who would be there in 30 minutes. I reminded him I had to be at the airport by 5:30 and to not bother to send anyone. As I was now driving my own car to the airport I received a phone call from the driver who advised me he was in front of my house. It was now 5:25. I booked yellow cab instead of uber because I had seen a news feature talking about how difficult it is for cab drivers to make a living. I will never book yellow cab again. WARNING: DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! If I could give it zero stars, I would. My husband called for a cab to pick us up and take us to the airport for our trip to Colorado for Thanksgiving. The reason we chose to book a cab with this company is that it was offering an airport special, $35 each way. We were planning to spend a total of $70, which was better than what it would have cost to leave our car at the airport. Our flight was on Tuesday, Nov. 24th. My husband called on Nov. 23rd and made a reservation for a 4 p.m. pick-up on the 24th. The morning of the 24th, my husband called to confirm the 4 p.m. reservation. Still, the cab never showed up. At 4:20, we had no other choice but to take our car. My husband had to drop us off and go park in long-term parking while my daughter and I scrambled to see if we could get on our 6 p.m. flight. We were all barely able to make our flight and were lucky to get on. We weren't sure we would. Oh, and did I forget to mention our cost doubled? Long-term parking was $22 a day, so we had to pay $132 to park our car at the airport from Tuesday the 24th through Sunday the 29th, plus the gas of cost. Bottom line, Yellow Cab of San Jose is SIMPLY NOT RELIABLE. I would recommend calling Uber instead, although it's a risk because they don't do background checks. I called last night to speak to someone in a managerial position and was told someone would call me this morning. No one ever did. I called again during my lunch hour and asked for someone to call me. Surprise, no one ever did the entire day today! I was told there wasn't a manager on duty and the person I spoke with didn't know when a manager would be there. He said employee schedules are posted and managers' schedules aren't. Excellent service all around. I reserved the cab by phone at LAX and when my plane landed at SJC, the driver Singh texted me and then directed me to the pre-arranged rides area, where he was waiting.
