Yesterday my mom needed to go to urgent care, and since we didn't have a car available the nurse…read moresuggested calling a cab (if it had been an actual time-critical emergency we'd have called an ambulance, but the nurse agreed that wasn't necessary). Mom called A-Yellow (or A1-Yellow as they show up in the phone book) since their number was local and she thought they'd get there sooner. We were told it could be 20 minutes or 40 or 50, but since the nurse had suggested two hours we thought we'd be fine. After an hour I called back, and got a Verizon message that the call couldn't be completed and to try again later. Thinking I'd mis-dialed I called again, and asked the man who answered if there was any problem. (They hadn't asked for a call-back number, and sometimes people get lost trying to find our street.) He mumbled something about them being on the way. After another half hour, we decided to call Bell, whose dispatcher said 15-20 minutes (and did ask for a call-back number). I tried to call A-Yellow to cancel and got the Verizon message twice, then a busy signal several times. Ten minutes later the Bell cab showed up, so we don't know if A-Yellow ever did. I know that some businesses only use cellphones now, and that if this is a small (or even one-man) cab company they can't always answer the phone. Even so, someone running a business like this should have a hands-free set in the car or voice mail or _something_ so that their customers can reach them. Totally unprofessional on their part. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Unreliable!!! Called at 5:10 and he told me 30 mins. it is now 6:15. Called him twice. The second…read moretime I called was around 5:46 and he told me the driver should be there in a few mins. After I kept calling, he stopped picking up the phone.

Driver was rude, refused to start meter, tried to talk game to my wife, car was a mess, no taxi…read morelicense on display, and tried to scam us. Driver refused to start meter. He pulled off to the side of the road and demanded a fucking ridiculous price. You cannot just pull a price out of your ass, you are legally obligated to use the meter. When I insisted he start the meter and drive he told me to get out. As we were exiting the driver started taunting us, saying "What are you gonna do about it" and "No one will pick you up tonight"....except for the Uber that picked me up 5 minutes later. Stop trying to rip everyone off. Learn some fucking professionalism. It is not the passengers fault that you are salty about the failure you turned into.

Terrible experience. I called to be picked up and dropped off a couple miles away. They told me…read moreit would be about 20 minutes but it ended up taking an hour, and that was after repeated calls asking where my cab was. The funny thing too was that about a half hour AFTER I was dropped off at my destination, the dispatcher called back (finally) to tell me my cab was almost there. Makes me wonder who picked me up. The cab itself was a pig sty, the driver was slovenly, and when I wanted to pay with a credit card he acted like he didn't know how to do that. In addition, where I was going was west of my pickup point, and the guy chose to go to the freeway onramp located EAST of us to get on the freeway. There was no advantage in choosing east over west in this situation, except to generate a higher fare. When I asked why he was going east, he got flustered and said "fine, I'll reset the fare", being all huffy about it, and ended by saying "money isn't everything". I think I'd rather thumb a ride with a suspicious looking stranger than use them again.
