I cannot begin to tell you what amazing service I received from this company! From the dispatcher, the driver, to the owner, I was very well taken care of! I would highly recommend this use of this company, especially in times of trouble or emergency! MANAGEMENT. Where is the management? The same rude woman is on day and night all weekend. She lets the phone ring off the hook before she bothers to answer it and then yawns at you and rudely hangs up. Calling in on her doesn't make any difference. Don't know who is worse, her or the loud one who won't shut up or the boy who seems to cry alot. As frustrated as he gets at that job, maybe he should look for different work. The one who sounds like a little girl seems to be the only nice one they have. It's a shame there is no management at this company. No company in this town is perfect but with this one being the biggest, you'd think they should be the best. Women on the phone and radio are very rude. The night the guy was crying on the radio was actually comical. Some of the drivers are useless but there are several nice ones who go above and beyond. We got a car so we don't use them anymore but we saw one go above and beyond the other night and hope someone commended her for what she did. People are so rude and inconsiderate in this day and age and we saw one dealing with a complete witch and yet that driver kept her cool and was very nice and polite to that witch. Kudos to you lady for being professional and courteous. If I were you, I would have left that witch on the curb. It's a shame there is no management in this company. Alot of people could use that woman as an example of how to behave and the company would be better for it. read more

Cab J222 was leaving Golden Corral. The female driver decided to run the stop sign with no regard to the other drivers who had the right of way. Her negligence nearly caused an accident. She however did not seem concerned as she parked in the shade in front of the old Office Max to smoke. A call to yellow cab was just as horrible. We were immediately transferred to hold. Once someone finally came on the line, I had to wait for a supervisor. To say total incompetence would be a compliment to this company. Thank God for Lyft and Uber! Don't take a yellow cab if you enjoy safety. read more

I've been using yellow cab to get to the airport since we arrived in Jacksonville 12 years ago. Friendly, helpful dispatch. I can always count on them to be here on time. Usually 4:30 AM. Cabs are clean. Drivers are friendly. They always ask me which route I prefer. read more

I wish there was another transportation option in town. The buses don't run at night - not that they are much of an option to begin with. Uber costs too much with charging for time and their stupid "surge" prices. None of the gypsy cabs stay open all night except Tarheel and they are a joke. Half the time the phone person is asleep. We have used Yellow so long, we have come up with nicknames for the radio people. You have Hitler. She constantly quotes the rules of the company and tells the drivers they won't get a call from her if they don't follow the rules. I guess the customer is screwed on getting a ride if she isn't obeyed. The there is the whisper witch. Unless someone makes her mad. Then she yells at them. Then there is two or three that just never answer the phone and when they do, they mess up the information you give them. The only good one they had was the guy on nights and he isn't working tonight. I hope he didn't quit. He was the last best hope in getting back to the barracks at night. Called tonight and waited over half an hour and finally waved one down and got a ride. She said the call had never gone over the radio. It's a shame this company doesn't have any management to straighten all this out. Yellow cabs in other towns run a lot better than this one. Some of the drivers are really nice and we tried calling them but they said they won't work with the idiot on the radio and they had gone home already. It's a shame. Rudest bunch of people ever. Those women who answer the phone are totally rude and love to hang up before you get done asking for a ride. The ones on the radio are even worse. They talk to the drivers like they are garbage. Its no wonder it takes so long to get a ride. They ask for anyone in an area and send the first one who calls in. They don't check with the drivers to see who is closest. They snap at the drivers for talking over each other but since the drivers can't hear each other, how would they know. They tell you a cab will be there in ten minutes and an hour later you are still waiting. They constantly repeat over and over a list of calls they have but they never shut up long enough for a driver to call in. The men drivers are horrible. Most of them look like the don't know what a shave or a bath is and don't expect them to lift a finger to help you. At least some of the women will help you out. I am all for affirmative action and allowing handicapped people to work jobs they are able to do but I don't think the phone or radio of a busy cab company is the place for a mentally challenged man with evident anger issues. Wish I could give a negative star. Will never recommend this company to anyone. Gonna give Uber a try. At least I won't get hung up on or have to listen to the rudeness of the women on the radio. read more

I ended up at the hospital this evening and needed to get back to my location. I called the Yellow Cab and the operator was very nice. She took my name, location and where I needed to go. The driver did not take long at all. I would say about 20 minutes and that's on a Friday night! The driver was nice and I got to my location safely. If I need a cab again, I will be calling the Yellow Cab. I highly recommend them and there rates are good. read more

Yellow cab does rip off people and they do take the longest routes to get themselves more money. Very unfriendly cab drivers, they do not help assist with luggage, not the cleanest cars, they do not allow any kind of drinks and if you're a smoker, they have a no smoking policy in their cabs. I found that this taxi service likes to "puff up" the meter. They will drive a further distance to bring the cost up. Most drivers have a bad attitude and drive wildly. They will turn to go into the parking lot of where I work, cutting in front of cars that are only 4 feet away! Not the safest group of drivers. When they drop you off at your house, they will sit in your driveway for about 5 minutes for no apparent reason. I would rather walk than take this cab company! NO STARS FOR THEM! read more
