    Driver was on time, give or take a few minutes. Dispatcher and driver were polite. Driver drove carefully and was friendly.

I was told by the Owner in response to my review that I would have 7 mornings of rides on them and we established that the cab would be there at 730. This did not happen. AGAIN I was late for work. I am an office manager for a business and it is imperative I am on time. This is a hassle to call an hour or better ahead of time and to be treated like I called 5 minutes before. This is deceptive of the owner to say that she would make sure they would be there and the cab still did not arrive until after 8. My business that I help run, was not able to begin effectively because I depended on a service that did not deliver what they say. I was foolish to believe words with no true action behind it. It is an issue that needs to be handled effectively by the management and owner. The driver said this has been happening for years. Then it is time for some change. Just remember words without true honorable action is just manipulation. She has responded to my messages and review. Instead of trying ti right the wrong and correct the inconsistencies, she renounced the 7 free rides and told me not to use her services any longer.

The first, the driver took 30 min to pick me up from my doctor's office even though I gave the dispatcher specific directions on what building I was in. Turns out the driver was hanging out at the wrong building for 15 min and didn't think to call me. The cabs aren't the cleanest or well-maintained but for a fairly short ride, it's not that big of a deal. The second experience was this morning. I called Goldstar 40 min ahead of time to request a cab for my brother. He needed to get to the Groome shuttle office in Columbus to get to the ATL airport (the Groome office is a 12 min drive from where we are). After 5 min PAST the scheduled pick up time, I called the dispatch and was told the cabbie was dropping off someone and would be there within a few min. Well, long story short - 2 more calls to the dispatch and 1 from the driver later - each call promising that the cab was 5 min away, the cab was a total of 32 min late. (That is 4 calls total in a 30-min period!!!) The cab arrived 3 min before his shuttle was scheduled to leave from the shuttle office. Needless to say, since my brother missed his shuttle. He had to take the next one which gave him approximately 20 min to get thru airport security and make it to his gate. Did not happen. The driver was apologetic but apologies mean nothing when you are purposely lied to over and over again. Why couldn't they just be upfront and say "I'm sorry, we are running late, it's really going to be 20-30 min more." Give me the opportunity to call someone else. The cab company is not the one who is being inconvenienced - the customer is. But no, they just choose to string you along. Do NOT use this cab company if you have to be anywhere on time! Or if do have to, give yourself a 30-45 min buffer!

We first called Ranger cab before flying to Columbus. We explained we needed a cab for 6 so we needed a van. We were told that planes can be delayed from Atlanta to Columbus so to call when boarding in Atlanta. We called twice, as told, and there was no answer. We left messages confirming our departure. We arrived at Columbus airport and had to take 2 car cabs that were stationed at the airport. We were then told by Ranger cab that they would give us one of the cab rides back to the airport (now for 8) for free. We called twice over the weekend to confirm. We called at 12:30 on departure day, when our rides were supposed to arrive to get us to the airport on time, and were told he'd be there in another 15 minutes. Our rides showed up with the main guy shouting out things to a group of 8 all trying to get our luggage out the door "Let's go people, let's go! I'm trying to help you out" "Ok let's hurry up" yelling at us and rushing us which would of never been necessary if he wasn't late in the first place. (Note: we put all our own luggage into the van.) He continued to be very rude and argumentative the entire way to the airport explaining that he was doing us a favor. Disrespectful is an understatement. (side note: the van without him as the drive, employee of the rude man, had a rap station blaring halfway to the airport until we asked for it to be turned down.) Terrible service and VERY poorly run business run by the rude man and his wife. We will advise Hampton Inn to not recommend this cab service again.
