The staff is friendly, and I struck up a conversation with a fellow customer-who it turns out- I have quite alot in common. The energy was uh-mazing! The people, the setting, the menu, the shop...oh! And I met the new owner, who provided a tour of the newly renovated and nearly finished second level! It is an absolutely beautiful, light, spotless, and modern space that is coming soon to the public. I am so excited with what she (the new owner) has envisioned for the space, and the good work she has planned on doing for the community.

The studio itself is a bit tucked away and hidden in an old industrial building but prior to arriving the studio sent an email with a helpful video! There is an old-school freight warehouse elevator, and if you haven't been properly trained on how to use it, don't try. Call ahead and tell them you need help with it when you get there. If you come here more than once, its best to learn how to use it directly from them. I'm updating my review to reflect the transition from virtual classes to in-person classes. Cleveland Eclectic Dance is still fantastic! Their studio spaces have high ceilings, large windows, a big open concept and plenty of room to spread out safely. The minute you walk in, the instructor will warmly greet you and make you feel like part of the CED family. The best thing about Cleveland Eclectic Dance is that its a very supportive, loving and fun environment. My small dance class was an eclectic mix of all ages, ethnicities, body types and skill levels (which I loved). The instructor was equally attentive, accepting and welcoming to everyone, especially me as a newbie. I am so incredibly impressed with all of the wonderful women that run this studio! They genuinely care about your experience and want you to have an empowering, fun, and supported time learning new things and loving yourself as you are.

I believe this is the former Vision Yoga space (however, I never attended a class there, so I can't compare the two). What I can tell you is that Sara continues to make renovations and cosmetic improvements to the space, so if you visit, it will probably feel quite different. She takes a lot of pride in the space and the atmosphere. If you're visiting Lakewood Yoga, I cannot stress enough LEAVING EARLY FOR CLASS. They do not have a private parking lot. Parking is on the surrounding streets via parallel parking and meters. The classes are still running large in numbers so nearby parking will fill up fast. I also encourage you to get there early to get a good spot physically in the class (at least right now while it's still brand new and wildly popular) because it will get tight if you show up late. What I respect so deeply about Lakewood Yoga is the variety of classes. I am a person that only practices specific types of yoga, and Lakewood Yoga certainly has that variety. You will find vinyasa, power, yin, gentle, hatha, prenatal, and even family yoga! They have multiple classes every day so you can always find something that you're looking for. The environment is very non judgemental and supportive. With so few yoga studios in Lakewood, Lakewood Yoga is trailblazing!
