I want to thank Maria Jones Law Firm for assisting me during one of the most difficult times of my…read morelife. Originally I am from Culiacan Sinaloa Mexico and I have been living in the United States for 27 years. In 2009 I received a letter from immigration stating a case had been open against me. I was placed in deportation. When the government of us wanted to send me back to Mexico, I didn't know how I was going to resolve that issue and did not want to return to Mexico. I have lived in the United States since the age of four. Maria Jones Law Firm gave me hope. I spoke to attorney Stephanie Corcoran, and she assured me that she could help and stop the deportation. She made me feel safe and brought piece into my life. Stephanie and the team at Maria Jones Law firm made it possible for me to become a lawful permanent resident of the United States. They fought for my rights and did such a great job the Immigration judge approved my case and stopped my deportation. Receiving legal status in the United States has changed my life for the best. I have the opportunity to travel, further my education, and obtain a higher level of employment.

I've not written a review on a law firm so this will be my first, but I can say with certainty,…read morethis is one worth writing and more importantly, sharing. I couldn't say enough about the multitude of folks working here. I came to this firm because I was in an accident (not at fault) and wasn't sure where to turn. From the moment I spoke with El Abogado del Pueblo himself (Josh) to ask if I even had a case to go with, there was care and intent to each conversation. To start the paperwork it was in the midst of COVID so someone actually came out to me at my home, we met outside, they wore a mask, I completed the documentation necessary (the next day I called - and mostly because I called on a Sunday), and everything moved smoothly from there. I was assigned a paralegal to help support me in gathering documentation, providing information for folks that they needed to be in contact with. I didn't have to take care of anything beyond communicating with that paralegal (Leslie) that helped, and every time I had a question, someone answered or got me an answer fast. I was able to text them (which was great!) and they got back to me right away with everything. This firm helped me throughout the lengthy process to not feel afraid of the insurance company trying to cash me out at a way lower 'settlement' than what I should receive, and also explained what to expect next from them each time we spoke. They were accountable, efficient, communicative, but most importantly, compassionate and treated me like a person. I felt like I was dealing with people that treated me like family, and I couldn't say enough about that experience. I would absolutely recommend Nunez Law Firm for if you've been in an accident. They made me feel as though I had someone on my side the whole time. A huge thank you to them!

My case has been open for over a year now. I know that things like this take time, so it being open…read morethis long isn't necessarily something I'm irritated about. I am giving a one star because not ONCE have I received a call or email regarding my case and the status. After 6 months had passed, I decided to call on my own and get an update. I was told that they were waiting on my bill from the hospital, which I had already provided, and once they receive that they can send the demand letter. Another 3 months go by before I decide to call back and this time I'm told that they will send me an email with the demand letter, so I can sign off. I'm waiting and waiting for weeks. I waited ANOTHER 3 months before I called back to find out that "she never sent it" even though I was told it was sent while we were on the phone. I'm irritated at this point, so I call Maria. Maria then tells me that they NEVER send a demand letter without all of the bills. So, she is unaware on why my rep would tell me that. I hang up the phone with her just to receive an email 10 mins later with the demand letter. So, now I dont know who is telling me the truth at this point. 2 weeks after the demand letter was sent, I got an offer. I denied the offer and was told that they would send a counter offer on the 28th of August. It is now the 21st of September and again, not one phone call to provide an update. I called 2 weeks ago to get an update and was told they were following up with them on the 11th. It is not the 21st and still no follow up! Called this morning at 8am and was told that someone would call me back. Its now 1pm and still haven't received a phone call. Decided to call back and my rep is at lunch of course. Very frustrated with the lack of communication and unacceptable delays.
