Do you like bars? Do you like to drink? Do you often wish there was something relaxing & creative…read moreto do while you are at one consuming your bevy? If you answered yes to all three then this is something you will definitely find right up your alley!! I like to keep my reviews completely fair as possible and as honest as I can be. So I must start by saying I am not the person who answered yes to any of that! But I can see the merit of this program and want to share it with fellow yelpers who might enjoy it. Jesse Robertson is the host/instructor for these Keep it Colourful paint nights and from what I've heard through people who have done both this and paint nite (a different facilitated event around town) she is by far the best! I can attest that she was easy to follow and made it as fun as she could. There are different classes at different bars around town so you sign up for the one you want to go to. For me personally I've never been the step by step stick to the program kind of painter so I found it difficult to enjoy the process as much as others around me. But I got it! I understood the appeal and what friends were raving about. From simple instruction to no limit on supplies offered by the end everyone had painted exactly the painting that was set out before us. Sure we all had a different sort of flair about ours but from a distance - same. Which actually speaks volumes of an excellent teacher. You might not believe you have it in you, I but might be surprised at how effortless the process is. You might just come out with something beautiful you created and didn't think you could. Again, this was not for me. Maybe if it were at afternoon tea and the subject matter was something I absolutely adored... but bars, at night, drinking... it's for someone, just not me. Still have to highly recommend based on how much fun everyone around me was having. It is as advertised, you will come away with that exact painting you signed up for whether you think you can or not. And the price is right too for a night of entertainment. So go for it! Get your paint on London, you might just like it.

Such a fun, new and wonderful experience! I had never been to a paint night before, and my friend…read morehad suggest we do it as a night out. We went to the Keep it Colourful Paint Night that Jesse Roberston was hosting at London Brewing Co-op a few weeks ago at the beginning of September. I love how she hosts it in different locations around London, it's a nice change of pace and atmosphere. The night we went at the London Brewing Co-op, was the Cat in the Windowsill, all painted with black and white. Which was a challenge to get the correct shade of grey, but it was so much fun. Jesse was very informative and helpful and explained it very thoroughly when mixing the colours, gave us a run through of the brushes and how to use them. if we made some mistakes, she informed us on how to fix it. She hosts these paint nights all over town and for a few hours, and some new learning techniques, and some fun, you'll have yourself a wonderful painting you painted. It's a fun learning experience and something you can do with your friends and get to experience the atmosphere of where you're painting and help local businesses out! It's a win-win!

I booked To Suit Your Fancy about a month before my wedding. I regret it…read more I should have gone with my gut feeling. They did respond to emails, but we had problems when we called to book an appointment. When I first contacted them I was greeted by the answering machine. They didn't bother to call me back for over a week until my wedding planner told them I was going to look for someone else. Then suddenly they were all about returning my call. Again, when we tried to pick up our decor after our wedding, we called to make sure someone was in the office, but no one answered or returned our call again. We took a chance and showed up. Sure enough, Ainslie was there, surfing the internet, her phone next to her. But the bigger problem happened the day before my wedding. When I booked, I signed a contract and put down a deposit. The price was set as a certain amount that I agreed to. We went in the day before the wedding to drop off our items and pay the rest of the cost. But suddenly the price was higher than I remembered. If I hadn't asked Ainslie about the change in price, she never would have acknowledged it. Apparently, there were extra costs because of where my venue was--even though she knew where it was from before I made my deposit. It was an extra $400 that we hadn't agreed to. If I had known before hand, I would have booked a different company at the price point I wanted. I didn't feel like I had a choice. My wedding was the next day. I could refuse to pay...and then what? Not have my decor? At the end of the day the decor was ok. Not what I envisioned and had talked about, but it looked alright. I would not recommend these guys.
