Your real like Fairy Godmother...the kicker is I'm just talking about the work she did on my Maid of Honor Dress!! Let me start by saying my phone call to Nancy started like this. "Hi, Nancy? Yes, I have a problem. I'm the MOH in a wedding which sort of just was decided today and the zipper is broken on the dress. And well the sleeves need removed and well...the wedding is in 30 days" At this point she was beyond kind but,also beyond busy. She was booked. After hearing the desperation in my voice and looking over her schedule she was amazing enough to work with my work schedule and fit me in the next day. She works from her home and has this fabulous dressing room off the side where you enter and you immediately feel like you know she is going to make it better. And that's what she did. She took a dress bridesmaid dress and made it perfect for me. Her attention to detail and eye for how something should look like and lay on the body is a true talent. She is amazing. I know when my time comes my gown is going to her and her only. She is worth every penny.

I was in a panic and called Nancy. Not only did Nancy see me on short notice (the next day on a Sunday) but she was the most kind, reassuring, and helpful seamstress ever. I was embarassed about my dress no longer fitting. Nancy reassured me, did a few snips and pinned certain areas and woila! I fit my dress again! I told her she was a miracle worker! Honestly I was so relieved Nancy was able to do my alterations in a weeks time. I felt beautiful on my wedding day and got to wear my dream dress thanks to this wonderful woman and her skilled hand!

Fitting was super fast, but thorough. Picked up same week on Friday and dresses were perfection. Used one of those powder pumps to get the length exactly as it should be...grazing the floor. Hems are beautifully done, everything looks like I bought it this way and happened to fit perfectly. Very pleased with results. After living in nyc for the last decade it starts to get into your head that the city does things better, like tailoring (there's just more options and opportunity to find excellent service), so after moving back to PA was nervous to find a tailor to do the work at the level I was accustomed to, but all expectations were met and exceeded. I sent him pics and measurements of my vintage footrest and he quoted me a fair price. My wife helped me pick out some decent material at Joann's Fabric (50% off) and I left the footrest and material with Joe and waited for the finished product. Several weeks later, my footrest was ready for pickup. It looks phenomenal now (see pics). As for clothing, I later took a bunch of dress shirts for alterations, as well as a suit jacket. Everything looks great! Judging by the number of customers who came and went each time I have gone there, Joe's skills are in demand. Joe's prices are fair and he always works hard to be sure his customers are satisfied.

One broken button, which they fixed. The second time I bought in six shirts including one brand new just out of the package I had to return two for a poor job in pressing. The third shirt, the new one, had a stain on the cuff which was not there when I brought it in. They claimed they couldn't have done it and were very rude about it "what do you think.. we eat in the back". Well fine. 250 work days a year. Clean shirt each day. 3 bucks a shirt. Plus suits. I'll take my $1K of annual business someplace else and recommend you consider doing the same.
