Never contacted me to explain why they didn't show up and never returned the text I placed at that time or the phone call I made into their office that day asking if I could expect them to show up at all or if I should move forward alone. Service quality continued to diminish over the life of the contract. when I brought it to their attention they said they had to re-price if I wanted that level of service (even though I had a contract). One irrigation pump went bad after 2 years. Paid full price for a new one and install. Second went after 1 year and they won't even come look at it because I am not a customer??? Their words: " My techs are jam-packed with our maintenance customers programs and repairs. I don't have an opening for at least 3 weeks" Wait, I bought two from you but I am not a customer? My lawn is getting scorched from this heat and they told me: "I do not have anyone to send. You can also try xxxxxx....Irrigation Company".....Yard Works used to be very popular in my neighborhood but I would beware a company that does not stand behind its service or product. read more

Ryan was awesome to work with. He helped us come up with the perfect layout for our backyard and incorporated all my husbands requests (firepit, seat wall, and even an area for cornhole)! He was great at responding to text messages, phone calls, and dropping by to check on the progress. The project only took a few weeks. Yard Works helped us completely overhaul our yard after an addition decimated it. They completely rennovated the irrigation system, the landscape lighting, dug drywells around the house and installed new turf and plant material. I'm surprised to see no other reviews for Yard Works here in Mount Pleasant SC so it's my pleasure to be the first. Ryan Zirneklis was our primary contact when I approached Yard Works to renovate my yard. The builder had given us a lot of grass and uninspired foundation planting. Ryan came out to discuss our needs several times before we started work and although we had our own ideas, he helped me choose and locate plants and was clearly well educated in all aspects of landscaping. The scope of work included sod removal, installing a tabby patio and walkway, creating a mounded garden, reworking the irrigation, and plantings. Ryan was very professional, personable, a skilled designer, VERY dependable and was great at staying in touch and responding to calls and emails. I'm happy to say that several months after job completion, no plants have died. read more

Where do I begin... I had paid these guys a premium to do my lawn maintenance for a couple years. For year one, they were johnny on the spot - always catching every detail. For year 2, my lawn started to die, they were in and out in 5 minutes and were missing every detail. I spoke to the owner and complained and he told me with everything going on with the immigration, he didn't get his Mexican's on time. Therefore, their work level declined and they weren't able to provide the same level of service. What??? Mind you, he still charged for that same superior level of service. No discounts for doing a bad job.. also, nickel and dimed for every other service they provided. They decided they wanted to cut the bushes next to our house, down to a nub. This would apparently cause them to grow back more lush. They didn't. Many of them died. Owner came and looked, but did nothing to replace them..We decided to give them another chance and hired hem to do our front yard sod, that was certainly caused to die by their lackluster service throughout the year. Too much of a coincidence.. We paid a premium to have them do it with their guarantee. Also paid a premium to have them re-grade our front yard. That didn't work out for us. Water was pooling at the bottom of our yard on both sides, after their re-grade. They put the new sod in and from the get go, I knew it wasn't right. Bare marks on day one. They didn't fill them. They sent emails telling me they could not guarantee the yard, because of a tree in my yard. Not what they told me in the beginning, when they were quoting and selling me.. Long story short, the owner finally offered to cover half of the sod re-install, Got the quote from them today and apparently all their labor rates have gone up and the price of 5 pallets of zeon zoysia is now $2781, just for the sod and no services attached.. All in, quote was near $4k . cover half. Ha! More like cover his cost and still give him a healthy profit. The owner comes in with a strong Christian story. He's worse than dealing with a criminal. The reality is YardWorks dominates lawn care in Isle of Palms. However they have not managed their growth well at all. We have had YardWorks manage our lawn for years. On a regular basis we would be dropped from their schedule and we would have to request service. That's been irritating but we dealt with it. This Spring, now that grass is growing again and they didn't start service back, we again reached out for help. Their response was "they can't take new business"....new business? We are a loyal customer just trying to get our regular service. Our neighbor who has used YardWorks for many, many years is hearing the same type of thing. I don't know what is going on but if you are just a regular homeowner looking for a trusted partner YardWorks is the wrong place to turn. I strongly encourage you to look for alternatives. They have simply grown larger than they can manage and the average customer is suffering. read more
