Her van is very comfortable, clean and full with service items for us to use, such as hand sanitizer, boots, bags, cooler bags. Incredible service!!! The tour is not only fun, but so educational and inspirational. We got to meet the owners of each farm, and learn their stories and see their operation, even see how they make things happen. So inspirational!!! Thanks to Lindsey's fantastic tour. We all enjoy very much. I would recommend whoever wants to get a break from the city to be in the farm for a day. Book a tour with Table to Farm Tours. It is totally worth it.

So very much worth it…read more Kevin and Lindsay picked us up in their shiny new van (new car smell!) that could fit a family of rhinoceroses and from there we were off to the races for an evening of wine tastings and a homemade literal farm to table fried chicken dinner that was insanely delicious, overlooking the catskills. This is owned and operated by a farm-to-table-loving husband and wife team; they are both extremely affable and deeply informative on the surrounding areas and history of the Catskills. Learned some incredible facts: ask about the ford dealership that struck a deal with Henry Ford himself! There is some time in the van between tastings, as expected, but the views are gorgeous and the company was great. They have multiple tour options so we'd definitely do this again when we visit. Thank you both!

Very professional, listened to what we wanted, then took us to three wineries that were fantastic. Each winery had its own unique character and the wines were spot on, as well the spirits in the last one we went to. Donovan's van was very clean, well air conditioned, and had all the amenities needed to go from one winery to the next. He's very knowledgeable of the area, well prepared, and an all around fun and great guy. He picked us up at our hotel at Marriott Courtyard Poughkeepsie and after the tour dropped us off at the Beacon Train station it really worked out very well. We'll be gathering a group of friends and hopefully do another tour in the fall or before Christmas. For sure we will pick Tour with Donovan again! Thanks Donovan!

Donovan set up each reservation so I had to do nothing but, book my trip with him and when he arrived he even had champagne and bottled water for us! At each stop Donovan made sure that we were treated like royalty. He didn't just drop us off, he got out with us and set us all up comfortably at each winery even going out of his way to get ice for our wine and helping us choose the best reviewed wines at each stop. Then Donovan even took pictures of our group at each stop and then sent them all to me to make sure I had memories of our trip. Donovan's vehicle was clean and well taken care of. All 9 of us fit comfortably with room for a few more. He was so hospitable and so much fun to hang out with on our drive to each stop. He played the music we liked and kept us laughing the entire time. I can't say enough about Donovan. I would definitely recommend him 100%.

Geoff ended up running our tour and was so nice and patient. We are a bit, um, loud sometimes but Geoff made sure to get the best angles with every group picture and even picked up our untimely food order so we wouldn't miss the last tasting. He was also extremely knowledgeable about local wine! **THE EXPERIENCE** It was a gorgeous fall Saturday. I highly recommend taking this trip in October, as the foliage was breathtaking. Milea Vineyard, our first stop, felt like a mansion, and the tasting room was sunlit and gorgeous. Clinton Vineyards was more of a country farmhouse, and our group had a private tasting with the owner, Phyllis, who is a super interesting woman. The last, Milbrook, was a bit busy, but the property has a cute lake and food, and before the tasting, you can check out the vineyard and store. Again HIGHLY recommended! Especially for a bachelorette party, birthday, or girls weekend getaway!

The Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area extends from North of New York City (the White…read morePlains, Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow area) to North of Albany (the Saratoga Battlefield). It is filled with historic sites from the Revolutionary War and, indeed, from the colonial period before the war. It is also filled with mansions, most of them built after the Civil War, during America's first gilded age, by the super-rich. All of these attractions are interesting, some are fascinating and a few are stunning. Visit the website, www.hudsonrivervalley.com, for pull-down menus of must-see, recommended and special interest tourist attractions, including most of the historic sites and mansions and, in addition, some museums, art galleries and the like. Clicking on an attraction will lead to a detailed description. Although we often disagree with the website ratings (and you may disagree with the website ratings and our reviews as well), the site is both user-friendly and highly useful. That said, our disagreements with the website sometimes extend beyond its ratings to its selections. As examples, we would throw out Dia Beacon as an appalling waste of time and money and add the Rhinebeck Aerodrome as a fascinating and fun place to visit on weekends from early June through late October, for its airshows of antique aircraft. We'd also add the new walkway over the Hudson River at Poughkeepsie. On a sunny day, it's a great experience, and it's also great because it's free. Most attractions are not free. Indeed, tourism may be the Hudson River Valley's largest industry. Someone has their hand out at almost all these attractions -- and on the toll roads and bridges that connect them. In addition, most of them have museum shops attached. Even where a visit is free, as at the United States Military Academy at West Point and the FDR Library & Museum in Hyde Park, a guided tour will cost you. The only exception we found is the tour of the New York State Capitol: like the walkway, it's free. Nevertheless, most of the attractions are well worth your time and money, with this caveat regarding the old mansions: after you've seen more than three, as we did, you may balk -- again, as we did -- at expending any more time and money to repeat, once again, an experience that may be intellectually interesting but definitely is emotionally similar. The exception is the Rockefeller mansion, which is stunning. Touring it will cost you two to five times as much as other mansions, but if you have time and money for only one rich bastard's home, it's the one to see. Upon arriving in Midtown, the driver tried forcing everyone off the bus to avoid going to the second stop. There were only two people (myself and one other) going to Chinatown. The drivers don't speak English, so they just point to the door and say 'Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry'. After a while, he gave up, and took FDR south. He exits around Montomery and refuses to go any further (Sorry, sorry, sorry). If I didn't have my iPhone I would have been completely lost. So, two days later I'm supposed to return home on the same bus. Their Chinatown address listed on their online booking site is 12 Allen St. This is a closed/abandoned building in between two other bus companies who do not offer trips to Albany. OK, whatever. I waited in the rain on the corner of Allen and Canal - I was 15 mins early, and waited ~30 mins. No bus. I checked every bus that stopped at that intersection, but none were for Albany. After talking to the people at Xinnix (the other Chinatown NYC-Albany bus company, they told me the company at 12 Allen closed. I ended up buying another return ticket with Xinnix and taking their bus back. I should add that the King World Bus was disgusting, smelled, was completely dark, and was generally horrible, while the Xinnix bus was decent, had better seats, interior lights, and didn't smell. Oh, it also brought me to my actual destination... a big plus. 7/2013 Edit: Beware, they've changed names to 'LC Coach'. They also list a new address for their Chinatown station, but there's no way I'm trying this company again to see if it actually exists.

Ayelet Tours - Crafts in Israel

    Ayelet Tours

    4.0(40 reviews)

We have just returned from ten fabulous days in Israel, thanks to your organization…read more I particularly want to acknowledge three of you. First off, Pam Pearlmutter, our trip planner, was incredible in creating a memorable tour that included all of the important, and even some of the lesser-but-no-less interesting, sites. What I truly appreciated was the ease in dealing with her, her availability and ability to change her initial plans to suit and accommodate our wishes, and the diversity of the sites on the trip that pleased ALL of us: we were seven traveling on a private tour. Pam has been to Israel many times and knew about places and opportunities that we would never have been aware of, were it not for her! THANKS, Pam! Second, in addition to the incredible sites, the trip came to life because of our tour guide--DAVID LESHNICK, an American-born Israeli citizen/educator/administrator and fundraiser, now incredible tour guide, whose wealth of knowledge and ability to impart it to ALL of us (ages 6 to umpteen!) was a feat in itself. Warm, inspiring, a teacher/story-teller/passionate Israeli enthusiast, with a ready smile, an even disposition--even when our youngest members were tired and trying at the beginning and end of some days, with a sweet sense of humor, and an obvious desire to make us love his adopted country the way he does. The breadth of his knowledge and the way he conveyed so many different aspects of past, way past, and present history, his broad information about all of the places we visited, and his welcome desire to take us all by the hand and show us his country in a realistic and loving way--with all of its problems and all of its triumphs. "Awesome" was the way our ten-year-old described him. Our six-year-old learned SO much from him, obviously enjoyed his sense of humor, and at the end of the trip drew a fairly accurate map of all of the places we had been, naming them and placing them where they belonged on the map: the Red Sea, the Dead Sea, the Mediterranean, the countries surrounding Israel, and so on. We were all impressed by how much HE got out of the trip. And on the day when the 10 and 13 year old were having a somber but memorable experience at Yad Vashem, he and I were dropped off and later picked up at the Jerusalem Zoo where we had a terrific time! From the moment we met up with David--and our driver ASAF COHEN (who was also so accommodating and friendly and helpful)--we felt comfortable and so well taken care of. David also suggested some alternative and additional places to visit that were not included on our initial plans, and we loved every place he took us to. I cannot say enough good things about our guide and driver. They were perfect! Lastly, I want to thank Ayelet Tours for making the trip so easy and enjoyable. Your organization arranged for us to be met at the airport by one of your representatives who led us in the large, complex airport to our nearby private bus that took us where we had to go. The same occurred as we exited the country--led by one of your representatives who made our leaving Israel easy and effortless! And when we wanted to make additional/alternative plans to what was on our itinerary, our guide called your office, and it was done! We thank you for all you did to make our trip the BEST EVER! As for our favorite experiences, hard to say. We truly enjoyed it all! Memorable, all of it! THANK YOU.
