There are 2 different types of tickets needed, ones for the rides and the others for the booths and food/drinks. There were a few rides and carnival games, and there were little to no lines at the time we went. The food and drink booths had nothing special or exciting to offer, so we ended up empty handed, and heading over to 7-11 for some slurpees since it was so hot and humid. Overall an ok experience but I don't think the 3 of us are too interested in returning next year.

My daughter and I met some of her friends there, when we arrived the Taylor Swift tribute band was playing that was cool, then the Sinatra came on after a while. Baby girl and I were a little hungry so we shared a teriyaki chicken bowl with rice which was delicious, the chicken was a bit crispy and soft the rice was cooked perfectly it was the right amount for us both. They had the Sweet store vendor here as well. I got us a candy apple with sprinkles to share with her, and a little cake pop for baby girl. Also of course have to have Shaved ice, the Hula Girls vendor was there, baby girl got the Rainbow one. Then we did the rides, she and her friends went on the rollercoaster, the Farris wheel, the mirror house, the giant bear that spins lol and also played some games and won some prices. Wonderful time always coming here live music, food and treats and vendors from all over. Can never go wrong coming here such good vibes and fun activities for the kids! Thank you for another wonderful year of the Brea Fest. Have a beautiful day :) Aloha

The Night Market itself was alright there wasn't many vendors or much of really anything to occupy our time with. The screen they were showing Back To The Future on was relatively small and just wasn't an all around enjoyable size for the large group of people in the park. What this appeared to be was something that wasn't a too well thought out idea had they had a bigger screen we might have stayed longer than the first few minutes of the movie. The atmosphere on the other hand was killer I mean come on your in a park next to the awesomeness that is the Packing District so that was definitely a plus as was the free admission to the event. Hopefully they do this again sometime and put a bit more planning into the event as it could potently be a spectacular family friendly outing for all ages to enjoy!

Other then that, it was great, would've liked a little more vendors around to keep me occupied while waiting for the movie but other then that well done. My family and I had an amazing time! It was especially awesome to see the Disneyland fireworks going off in the background as that's my favorite thing about Disney.

I wanted to see fireworks on NYE, and the only places in the OC that does that in 2023 is Disneyland, Knotts, OC Fairgrounds, and Downtown Fullerton. You stand very close to to the firework launching and they set them off in an unexpected and interesting way so it is quite fun. I wanted to have some nice cocktails at a place that was not too loud and raucous, and we found a lovely lounge at Les Amis, and there were others in the area. There were some loud pubs/bars, but they were at the outside periphery of the blocked off street section. I didn't want a huge, dense crowd. There are free lots and parking. This year, it was easier to find a close spot than it was in 2019. There is this area for kiddos with food, games, rock climbing, etc, and was set on a street with no bars or restaurants which provides a buffer for the families. The kiddos were cute. Brings back memories for when my kids were young. The streets are blocked off and there are 3 cover bands.

(I just wanted to get the pix up.) We have attended this event to conclusion before, however, and it is definitely a family/community event. Lots of bounce houses for the kids, carnival games, food and vendor booths, and more. It takes place on Harbor Blvd, Fullerton's main drag, between Chapman and Commonwealth. They also have multiple stages for bands, and fireworks when the weather is right. Many of the local stores stay open late to take advantage of the crowds. It's better than most cities put on, but it's definitely a small community event compared to Disneyland or the large party events put on by big presenters. Fun!

It took two days to actually try everything that I wanted to try, but I think I narrowed it down to Germany being my favorite place to visit. The beer and the bratwurst were the best! Because we chose to be cooped up in the AC during the hot day, we really wanted to be outside, so this was a good opportunity and it was a free activity before we could decide on what to do next. Before we even approached Birch St. we noticed the large amount of foot traffic in the area. Birch was closed and obstructed with a stage and the restaurants across the street has lines out the door. It was pretty damn crowded. For parking, we avoided the adjacent parking structure all together. You can tell that was the first place people attempted, but we just circled the nearby Ralph's shopping center lot since you were allowed to park there. After about 5-minutes, we easily found a spot, and less than a 5-minute walk, we were already there. The festival itself has a shopping village with local vendors, a beer garden and of course music. Though the event skewed a little older at night, it was cool to see so many people out and and about. When the music was playing, there were lots of people on their feet dancing and laughing, and if you just wanted to sit and enjoy the spectacles, they had plenty of seats put up for you to rest your keister. Though we didn't purchase anything from the vendors, we did stop by a lot of the restaurants in the area to see what they had. Our biggest score of the night was stumbling upon Merely Sweets. We bought some cupcakes, propped up and watched the festivities. The festival goes on every weekend until the end of September. Even if you're not into jazz, it's cool to stroll and see what Brea has to offer. I think it's great for the community and gets you out of the house for a night!

We were able to find free street parking and as long as you're okay with walking a block or two, parking is easy to find. Just a word of the wise not to go into the neighborhoods as it's super tight and fisted parking. It's a fun community event with lots of volunteers and community sponsors. I think it was only around $5 for activities for children like the sledding, petting zoo, and very small pirate ride, but there's lots of free fun things for kids provided through the Children's Museum and other various community partners. Some pretty cool sponsors were T-mobile, State Farm, Toyota, The Spongebob Movie (neat!), PBS, and much more. Lots and lots of seating available. One in a well lit lot next to the Port-a-Potties and another in front of the performance stage. It does get cold once the sun goes down and there's a lot of working so definitely dress for comfort. There's a couple vendors with merchant crafted goods like decorated tupperware, quilts, and other things like toys or clothing. The city is also selling merchandise for the festival and it's centennial celebration. Friends and I got pumpkin, sweet corn, and beef tamales from the vendor that had the longest (yet most efficient line) and the most trophies. All of which were delicious and can easily be seen why they're turbo winners as well as Randy's Spammy (I've missed every single Asayoru collab they had so seeing them here was a real treat). Great place to hang out and kill a couple hours.

The parking and event are both free! There are really long lines for award winning tamales, but I didn't have time to wait so I went for a shorter line. Tamales Fiesta - 5/5, really excellent tamales! The red salsa beef tamale was the best one, great flavor. The salsa verde pork tamale was fine. The cheese tamale was a solid choice. I'd pass on the churro cheesecake tamale next time. Very well priced with a drink, at about $27 total. La Reyna Tapatia Events - 4/5, the Hot Cheetos esquites are easily 100/5 so dang delicious! But the pupusa wasn't what I was expecting. It was super flat and didn't feel like it had much filling. Both items cost $25 total which felt a little too expensive for what I got.

The downtown Fullerton art walk happens on the first Friday of every month. This happens all year round. It seems like the event was more popular maybe pre-covid? Not too sure. You can walk around downtown, and you will see signs put out for the businesses that are participating. It seems like the hours vary depending on the business. So, some were closed when we went. It may be a good idea to go during the day, so you can hit all of the places before they close. We got to see some art. It was cool. It's always fun exploring downtown Fullerton! Not bad for a free event. It's not something you have to run to go do. It was alright for what it is. A free event to do on a Friday, once a month lol

It was cool how everything was gathered in one place and there was a lot of festivities: photobooth, live music, food trucks, beer and wine garden, arts and crafts booth for kids, etc. The museum gift shop was also open to browse. Great atmosphere and nice to walk around, though I didn't really get involved too much with the booths. I was there mostly to browse and soak in the atmosphere. And to get grub from the food trucks, haha. The gathering was a lot smaller than I thought and I was expecting to see a lot more, but it's ok. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Parking was a breeze since they were set up right next to a couple of free public parking garages. All in all, the event provided some great atmosphere, but I'm not sure if a normal Artwalk would be for me. I suppose if I had nothing better to do on a Friday night and wanted to soak in some local art, I'd go again.

Trance music is one of my favorites, and WW highlights it. They used to have 2 stages but last year and this year they cut it down to 1. I don't mind 1 stage because I never have to decide which DJ I want to see. But on the flip side, you better be happy with the whole lineup! Ticket prices ranged from $120-150 depending on how early you bought them. I might just be dreaming, but I feel like the rave prices of $60-70 like back in the day would be a lot more fair for a 1 stage event. This is a 21+ event, which I love. The crowd is much more relaxed and responsible than you find at other massives. The decor was a bit lacking for how large of a space they had to work with. I loved the abundance of confetti and streamers that they shot out throughout the night. The Wishing Tree when you enter is a gorgeous photo op, and a cute idea to pen down your goals and wishes for the new year. Coat check is available but I don't find a need for it now that they have moved the line inside. I want to get my money's worth so I arrive close to 7 when doors open. Check-in has always been quick and painless. There are 3 tiers, ID check, security check, and ticket check. My friends and I went to the front very close to the stage and were able to remain there the whole night. We were not squished for the most part and as people from our group exited to the sides they were able to get back to us easily. I didn't realize how far back the crowd went until I left at the end of the night! We were lucky to be in the front. When I go to events I don't move around much, so I can't comment on bathroom or water lines. They had water vendors walking through the crowd at the front of the stage so you don't have to leave if you don't want to. Water from those vendors cost $4 and there was a water refill station near the back. I love that the event is so local so that for once I don't have to drive all the way out to the NOS Center or LA. Getting a hotel within walking distance is the best idea since cabs and Ubers can take a while to book. DON'T BE A PARTY POOPER. WEAR ALL WHITE. And have fun :)

Go dance your tush off to amazing music, surrounded by beautiful and weird people, and melt your face off to a ridiculous light show. What better way to ring in the New Year than in a puddle on the floor of the Anaheim Convention Center? EVENT LOCATION I loved bringing the party to Anaheim rather than San Bernardino for NYE. It's indoors, which means a lot on a chilly December night! It's also closer to home for me. The big minus here is that the Anaheim Convention Center fills up with 10,000+ people on the same night that its neighbor, Disneyland, has its busiest day of the year. Getting in and out probably took me an hour and a half total because the streets were so backed up heading in and out of the festival. I even left early to try to beat White Wonderland traffic, and I ended up in the thick of Disneyland traffic -- so many people stayed in the Park til after 1!! GETTING IN & OUT While getting to and from the Convention Center was a challenge, getting into the Center itself was pretty much a breeze. Yes, the line was long, but it moved quickly. The single-door-open policy to get in to the center itself was questionable, as it meant the longest line outside in the cold. I luckily had a coat with me, but would much rather have gotten inside quickly, and waited longer for ID/security checks. There were so many shivering ravers and I felt so bad for them. But there were plenty of staff to direct us from the parking structure ($15, steep but better than the $20 at NOS) to the Convention Center, and I appreciated that CSC Event Staff never seemed to be far away. FOOD & DRINKS I finally got to eat some of the food! And it was incredibly average, and a little stressful in my all-white outfit. The longest line was for the sushi stand, and I was happy to recognize Rolling Sushi Van slinging their rolls at this event. If it weren't for the long line I would have snatched up some California rolls myself. I didn't drink as I was driving and really just needed water to hydrate, and that was $4 a pop. Skip the pizza, and the chicken wrap from California Grill is a hastily assembled wrap without a tortilla. MUSIC Once again, this is where Insomniac is firing on all cylinders. With only two stages this time, there were less artists than at Nocturnal or Escape, but they still had a great lineup. I was so impressed that they got some incredible names who were also double-booked on NYE! I'd heard that last year a double-booked artist no-showed as he couldn't get out of Vegas, and with 4-6 performers on their way to Oakland or San Diego after their sets this year, I was almost prepared to be disappointed. But everyone showed up, played incredible sets, and I danced until I couldn't dance or keep my eyes open any longer. Hardwell and Bingo Players were highlights, with phenomenal stints from Sebastian Ingrosso and Above & Beyond as well. If you are coming for the music, there is really no other place to be on New Year's Eve. My 2013 resolution: Complete the Insomniac circle with Electric Daisy Carnival in Vegas! See you there!!
