We found a good spot two blocks down from the packing house. -the people were great, the etsy vendors had amazing creations and ideas for my wedding. -lines were long inside but they didn't take long to get through, service was fast. Food was fresh. -seating for the movies was great, we brought our chairs so it made for a relaxing wait. -music was great, she had a beautiful voice Negatives -the movie started 45 minutes late, to me this was a bit of a family outing and there were a lot of kids and that can sometimes be hard to deal with a toddler being out so late. -there was a private event, not sure that's the smartest thing to do on a day you're holding your own event. Other then that, it was great, would've liked a little more vendors around to keep me occupied while waiting for the movie but other then that well done. My family and I had an amazing time! It was especially awesome to see the Disneyland fireworks going off in the background as that's my favorite thing about Disney.

The Night Market itself was alright there wasn't many vendors or much of really anything to occupy our time with. The screen they were showing Back To The Future on was relatively small and just wasn't an all around enjoyable size for the large group of people in the park. What this appeared to be was something that wasn't a too well thought out idea had they had a bigger screen we might have stayed longer than the first few minutes of the movie. The atmosphere on the other hand was killer I mean come on your in a park next to the awesomeness that is the Packing District so that was definitely a plus as was the free admission to the event. Hopefully they do this again sometime and put a bit more planning into the event as it could potently be a spectacular family friendly outing for all ages to enjoy!

The parking and event are both free! There are really long lines for award winning tamales, but I didn't have time to wait so I went for a shorter line. Tamales Fiesta - 5/5, really excellent tamales! The red salsa beef tamale was the best one, great flavor. The salsa verde pork tamale was fine. The cheese tamale was a solid choice. I'd pass on the churro cheesecake tamale next time. Very well priced with a drink, at about $27 total. La Reyna Tapatia Events - 4/5, the Hot Cheetos esquites are easily 100/5 so dang delicious! But the pupusa wasn't what I was expecting. It was super flat and didn't feel like it had much filling. Both items cost $25 total which felt a little too expensive for what I got.

We were able to find free street parking and as long as you're okay with walking a block or two, parking is easy to find. Just a word of the wise not to go into the neighborhoods as it's super tight and fisted parking. It's a fun community event with lots of volunteers and community sponsors. I think it was only around $5 for activities for children like the sledding, petting zoo, and very small pirate ride, but there's lots of free fun things for kids provided through the Children's Museum and other various community partners. Some pretty cool sponsors were T-mobile, State Farm, Toyota, The Spongebob Movie (neat!), PBS, and much more. Lots and lots of seating available. One in a well lit lot next to the Port-a-Potties and another in front of the performance stage. It does get cold once the sun goes down and there's a lot of working so definitely dress for comfort. There's a couple vendors with merchant crafted goods like decorated tupperware, quilts, and other things like toys or clothing. The city is also selling merchandise for the festival and it's centennial celebration. Friends and I got pumpkin, sweet corn, and beef tamales from the vendor that had the longest (yet most efficient line) and the most trophies. All of which were delicious and can easily be seen why they're turbo winners as well as Randy's Spammy (I've missed every single Asayoru collab they had so seeing them here was a real treat). Great place to hang out and kill a couple hours.

Parking get a bit crazy here. The park is located in the middle of a business park, so there's plenty of parking. The thing is, this festival is highly attended, and parking fills up fast. This year I went on Saturday mid-afternoon. Parking really wasn't that bad. I didn't have to go too far searching. When I walked into the festival, I was surprised how low the attendance was. I think it was because of the heat. It was getting pretty intense. The festival itself has a lot to offer. As I mentioned earlier, there's a wide variety of vendors to shop around throughout the entire day. And there's plenty of entertainment on the center stage. From ukuleles playing, a variety of vocal artists, and hula studios performing. You kinda feel like you're at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet, lol. On a smaller scale though. The food is sectioned off. There's usually only a handful of food vendors, and they seemed to keep the lines reasonably moving along. But I remember in previous years that they were so busy and the wait was a bit painful to. There's not too much variety in the food though. It usually your typical huli huli chicken, chicken katsu, manapua, malasadas, spam, portugese sausage, and kalua pork. Beverages are sold at another tent. The shaved ice vendor was very popular as well lines were much longer there than the other food vendors. If you're coming to watch the entertainment, it's great! A bunch of the local halaus perform here. But there are die hards that go. Pop up tents line the perimeter of the center stage area every year I've attended. It is a cross between a raspberry, blackberry and a loganberry. Interesting! This is the berry that is celebrated at Knotts Berry Farm's Boysenberry Festival! I've come to Knott's Berry Farm for the festival a few times on my own and once for a Yelp Elite Event (YEE: Ditch Day at Knott's Boysenberry Festival in 2018). This review is mainly for this year, March 13 through April 12, 2026: You can outright pay for Boysenberry food items, or you can buy a Tasting Card. The price for the card fluctuated during the festival. I went online to buy the Tasting Card for $45 because I saved some money instead of buying in person. Once you receive the email, you have to take it to a store or kiosk that sells them and they will scan the QR Code & give you the physical Tasting Card with lanyard. One card allows you 6 food items. Not all Boysenberry food items are eligible to be used with the Tasting Card. If I was a drinker, I'd use my Tasting Card on Alcoholic Beverages because they cost the most. The 6 Items we used our card on were: *Boysenberry Sausage on a Hoagie with Boysenberry Mustard, Peppers, and Crispy Fried Onions ($11.99+tax) ~ this is really good! *Spicy Bulgogi Over Rice ($11.99) ~ it was okay *Boysenberry & Matcha Mousse Cup ($10.49) ~ nice dessert and it came in a plastic keepsake cup when I got it. They switched to disposable plasticware by my next visit. *Boysenberry Beef Brisket over Mac and Cheese ($11.99) ~ Brisket was oversauced, didn't care for this *Crispy Chicken Wings with a Boysenberry Sriracha Dipping Sauce ~ the wings were delicious *Boysenberry Brick with Boysenberry Jam & Boysenberry Soft-Serve Ice Cream($9) ~ this was quite tasty but needed more ice cream! ***One thing to note about the Tasting Card is that there are no tabs to tear off, so you have to keep track of how many you've used. I prefer visually seeing how many I have left rather than relying on my memory. Items we paid for separately were: *Deep Fried Cinnamon Sugar Churro w/ Boysenberry Bavarian Cream & Boysenberry Ice Cream ($9.49+tax) ~ get this! *Boysenberry Kiwi Lemonade ($9.49) - [topped with a blackberry, so odd!] ~ not worth the price, but was alright *Lg. Boysenberry Milk Tea ($11) from Leafy Love Tea Kiosk ~ not bad, but too pricey for the amount of drink *Boysenberry Soft-Serve Ice Cream Cone ($7.99) ~ always a hit! *Coconut Cream Bao Buns with a Boysenberry Drizzle ($9.49) ~ served nice and hot ... pretty good! *Boysenberry & Cheese Muffin ($4.99) ~ muffin was super dry, skip it *Boysenberry Sassparilla Soda in a bottle ($3.99) ~ I prefer the regular Sassparilla TIP: Mrs. Murphy's Kitchen is an indoor area with seating and you can enjoy the cool A/C while you eat! There are so many food and drink options for the Boysenberry Festival this year! Sadly, we only scratched the very tip of the iceberg of offerings available! We came 3 times to use up our card and try as much food as we could. There are outside vendors selling stuff you wouldn't normally find at Knott's apart from the festival. I enjoy seeing what they have. There were some glassblowers & a silversmith working. Be sure to go to Old MacDonald's Barn to see the Mama Goat (Patty) and her kids Belle & Lenny. If you walk around Boysenberry Lane just past Ghost Rider, there are more shops and Photo Op places. There's also a place to buy Boysenberry Plants! It's best to come with family or friends who will share so you can try more items! We will most likely return again next year!

And to get grub from the food trucks, haha. The gathering was a lot smaller than I thought and I was expecting to see a lot more, but it's ok. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Parking was a breeze since they were set up right next to a couple of free public parking garages.
