As you walk into this library, it's basically the kids section as the left half of the building and the remainder is the adolescent and adult portion. The kids section has movies, books, some great play areas, some computers with lots of learning related programs and, most exciting way, a bunch of animals! They have a bunch of lizards, fish, snakes and a number of turtles in glass enclosures around the kids area. There's even a Tiranchula for spider lovers - It's quite the menagerie! The animals are a great addition to the library and give the kiddos something else to interact with. The computers have plenty of educational games on them and as is becoming more frequent, our 5 and 7!year olds figure out how the games work faster than I do...I remember thinking about that would never be me and here we are! All good though as I can still best them at Mario cart! The folks working here are very helpful and made getting our book on Star wars legos and book on reptiles very easy! And you can return anything at other libraries in the area - key for when we've received our fourth reminder email. Yay Reading + Animals + Computers + Movies + Games!

They enjoy making the crafts and meeting other kids around town. They've met some nice friends there for sure! The library staff, Katy and Crystal, are wonderful and they are always happy to help if you have any questions or need help finding a certain book. They also are great about letting you know about happenings around town and with the Yakima Valley Libraries. I am glad that Naches has a library for the community! If you haven't gotten a chance to stop in, do so! It may be a tiny library, but it has so much to offer!

Not knowing what to expect, and having had some 'stressful' experiences at government offices we began our trip with a degree of trepidation. We need not have worried. The building itself is attractive, well maintained (inside and out) and nicely landscaped. We did notice one small maintenance item, (broken door to ladies toilet stall) and reported it. We also noted that they are not using any system for identifying who is next; even though they have one. This almost caused my wife to be skipped. They also were unable to provide any kind of temporary ID card, didn't know when she might receive her new one, and basically just didn't care, or at all interested in being helpful. This one person was the only unpleasant part of this experience. I am taking the time to write this review because of the two Security Officers on duty (5/31/22). They were beyond great. I was unable to get their names, but they both deserve a commendation in the personnel files. They were friendly, personable, helpful and easy to be around. They made the experience a positive one.
