She has grown so much for being a student here. The teachers are all simply put; amazing and I trust them wholeheartedly. The director of the school is always reachable and always proactive if I have any needs or concerns. I highly recommend the school and I'm grateful that my daughter was accepted here. I wanted to do a follow up; after 2 wonderful years, my daughter now attends kindergarten. At her first parent teacher conference, her teacher let me know that she was very advanced and doing extremely well and that Sunflower Montessori had prepared her well. The new owner is wonderful and the staff are all incredibly friendly. They know our son by name and are always smiling and warm. Our son started here at 12 months, so there was a little transition period (a few weeks), but quickly after he was thriving and I can tell that he genuinely loves going to school. No tears, just excitement to step into the classroom and start his "Montessori work". I also love how much they prioritize time outdoors and independence.

Things quickly went sour when the main teacher started disappearing for months at a time, placing the kids in the care of assistants, art teachers, music teachers, basically anyone with a pulse. This started to wear our child out and dropping him off became a triggering experience. He was never a clingy baby so it was odd to me how distraught he was at drop off. Rather than working with you on behavior issues, they are quick to throw incident reports your way basically blaming your kid for everything. The final straw came when my child was left unattended long enough to destroy the classroom, the staff had the audacity to tell me my 3 year old child needed to take books home to glue pages back together when he was the one left unattended and could have been seriously hurt. The music teacher discussed death of a loved one with my child without permission, they didn't take accountability for either incident which really didn't sit right with me. Not to mention they take more days off than public schools but you're paying an insane amount of money just because it's "Montessori" This place is a glorified daycare, and a crappy traumatizing one at that.

I 100% do NOT recommend this preschool simply because of the director Terra. My 4 year old son who…read moreis now 5 started going to RMP last year around October(2025). My ex husband had my son start going here while I moved to Colorado so him and his wife interacted with Terra at first. When I was finally able to move here in December of 2025 and have my son move back in with me, I was told that Terra has terrible communication skills and that she will either get back to you when she wants or not at all. I've been working as a preschool teacher for over 10 years so I thought that had to be ridiculous. There is no way a director can act like that. Earlier this year she wanted to have a meeting with me about my son and his behavior. I was thrilled because I haven't really had to communicate with her much and my son has been going through so much and putting his teachers through a lot. I was more than willing to talk it out and we did. I ended up getting him tested and he was diagnosed with autism. So as I was told by my son's new therapist I sent Terra two emails about coming up with a plan for him to help him and the teachers out. Crickets from her. But if I wrote her about another subject not pertaining to my son's autism she would reply back the same day. In May of this year I decided to pull him out of the school. And guess what? She replied extremely fast when it came to withdrawaling my son's enrollment. I'm also not a big fan of them not reporting everytime they lose a child or I guess I should say everytime they misplaced a child. They got caught earlier this year with a child wondering around in their parking lot but I know about the kids who got locked out in the playground or left in the bathroom this year. Again, because I've been a preschool teacher for so long these HAVE to get reported. Something has to be done. But instead I guess Terra decides to sweep it under the rug. I think that's BS and actually scary because you never know if it could be your child next. On the plus side, my son adores his two teachers that he has right now and I'm so sad to have to take him away from them but I can not deal with Terra and her lack of professionalism. My son's two teachers are the only reason I added an extra star to the review. When it comes to my child I need clear and concise communication which I have not been getting.
