Taco salad with shredded beef and burrito with chorizo
Marissa W.

Yabo's feels like an American-Mexican joint meets a sports bar. The menu has some American style tacos and straightforward versions of Mexican classics such as burritos, quesadillas, etc. The menu has many options so it is good for a group or picky eaters. I tried the taco salad with shredded beef and appreciated the crispy taco bowl, fresh ingredients, and flavorful beef. My husband enjoyed the burrito with chorizo. Everything was good, but nothing special. We prefer more authentic Mexican food with more flavor but Yabo's is a solid American option. We had an issue with our online order but the staff were very helpful and made sure everything was just right.

We tried this place just a few days ago. It is right next to a Rita's and is a small but really cute restaurant. Our waitress was super friendly and their food had great prices. It was $5 for a kids meal and most tacos were between $4-5 a piece and were loaded with delicious, fresh ingredients. My kids tried the macaroni and cheese and the chicken nuggets/tenders. They both loved it! We tried their trio of queso, salsa and guacamole as an appetizer. Their queso had a very nice, light flavor. It was not spicy at all (which was good for the kids since they do not like spicy). The guacamole was thick and fresh. It was also not spicy but had very good but light flavors. The salsa did have a little bit of spice, we loved all three in the trio and would definitely order it again. I tried the "Make your own taco", which included chicken and the "Baja" style ingredients which were feta cheese, lettuce, cilantro and pico de Gallo. My husband also tried a few different tacos too. We both loved it! There is also a wide variety of sauces (some you do have to ask for and some are already in bottles at the table). Overall, we would definitely go back to this place. We thought the prices were good and the food was great!

This location has a very friendly, inviting staff. The restaurant is spacious with several TVs. The menu.... very confusing. The left portion had "signature" tacos that didn't resemble a taco. Such offerings as a Philly Cheesesteak taco and an Italian sub taco. I opted for 3 different tacos: a ground beef, a steak, and a pork. All 3 with a jalapeno slaw. I am not exaggerating when I tell you I could not tell the protiens apart by taste. This was my 2nd visit here and I came away with the same impression: dry meat with too much seasoning. These things were salty. Both times they reminded me of if you were to make the Ortaga taco kit at home and used 2 packets of taco seasonings instead of 1 with not enough water. Dry, salty, not appealing. This concept is that of kids at a school cafeteria playing with their food.... "let's put spaghetti into a tortilla shell, that would taste good".

First time here and I loved it. A large menu selection. I went with the Carolina Pork Taco, the Don Yano Taco (an Italian sub on a taco) and the Nashville Hot Chicken Taco (my favorite). Since it was Taco Tuesday (mini tacos for a buck), I got three more! I highly recommend the Serrano Lime sauce. Service was amazing and super friendly.

3.0 Stars Location Overview: Yabos Tacos can be found on Cemetery Rd connected to the apartment buildings right off of the round about. This location setup looks like a bar food type of place and has Keno type games. Pretty chill and great selections of alcohol for the adults. Customer Service: Customer service here was pretty good. Nothing to complain about. She gave some good recommendations on what other customers enjoy eating. Quality/Quantity: The quality just was not there for me personally. Another attempt at TexMex food.... in Ohio.. and it just did not nail it. I enjoyed my food, just not like home. When I think TexMex food everything is authentic and the rice here definitely did not taste like it. Although, I did enjoy the interesting varieties of chile to add to my food. Side Notes: Big enough for everyone, very chill.

The chips, salsa, and queso are so good! I also enjoy the rice and bean bowl, the stack and the sissy sauce.

The cashier/cook greeted us as soon as we walked through the door. Even though it is fast food, he checked on us a couple of times! Keep in mind, as other reviews have stated, it is set up for more of a takeout, as there are only two small high tops and no bathrooms. In the warmer months, there are two picnic tables right outside the door. My husband got the smoked turkey (nicely smoked with good bark and moist), mac & cheese (good cheese pull and not runny), pudding. I had the smoked chicken quarter leg (nicely smoked, moist, and covered with their signature sauce), collard greens (not at all spicy but good flavor), and bourbon peach cobbler. Both came with a choice of bread, and we chose corn bread. Nice and moist with a touch of sweetness. I usually drink water with my meals, but they had Jones ' sodas, and I always wanted to try one. The nice young man told me how much he liked the cream soda, so I gave it a try. It tasted so different (we think because they use cane sugar as their only sweetener) than say A&W's version. I really enjoyed it. We also wanted to try another side, so we ordered corn pudding. We were so impressed with everything, we took a to-go menu to look it over. The cashier/cook told us they have frequent specials and a loyalty program. Since we don't have a close fast fook BBQ place near us, I can see us coming here at least once a month! I am sorry I forgot to get pictures.

While visiting Hilliard from Texas for work, I wanted to experience how other states do barbecue,…read moreso I decided to try Smoke Licked Barbecue. First impressions were great. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. They even allowed me to sample a few items before ordering, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I arrived just before 5 PM and they were already out of ribs, which was disappointing. I ordered the brisket, pulled pork tacos, street corn, and coleslaw. The brisket was very tender and moist, but I felt it could have used a little more seasoning. The pulled pork tacos had excellent texture and were enjoyable to eat, but the flavor was mild enough that, if I'd closed my eyes, I'm not sure I would have identified it as pulled pork. The coleslaw was also a bit lackluster for my taste and could have benefited from more seasoning. The standout side for me was the smoked street corn, which was flavorful and easily one my favorite parts of the meal. Overall, the service and cleanliness were excellent, and the food quality was solid. I just personally prefer a bolder, more seasoned barbecue flavor profile.
