The sign on this place says "Yaba's Bottle Shop" - but the Google listing says Yaba's Package. They are on Austell Rd - literally right across the street from Pasta Bella's. This is another spot that I can't believe doesn't have any reviews! They've been around for a really, really long time. I think their biggest claim to fame is the fact that they have a DRIVE-THRU. In fact - the handful of times I've been here - I'm pretty sure I was passenger in the vehicle and we used the drive-thru. I think I've only been inside one time - which leads me to my next point: The place is teeny-tiny. But that's cool because of the DRIVE-THRU. Lol. Admittedly, I'm a big girl - with even bigger hips - but even skinny, emaciated folks will find the 'aisles' narrow - and find the store claustrophobic. No biggie or reduction in stars - most of the inventory is in the back - you'll simply have to ask for it. The parking lot is super tiny - But that's cool because of the DRIVE-THRU. But seriously, be super careful so that you don't get rear-ended trying to turn in there - you're better off parking at the gas station (CITGO) next door or that wing spot (Austell WIngs) on the other side of them. Truthfully, the prices are NOT very competitive - I have never shopped here and made a purchase (see note above - I've been passenger / co-customer) but the folks working there are pretty friendly and they are open very late (close to midnight on Fri and Sat). On Yelp - A-OK means 3 stars - and I definitely think they merit that! read more

Cuban Diner caught my attention because I saw an ad for them on social media. As a first generation Cuban-American born and raised in Miami and married to a Cuban man, I am happy to report that Cuban Diner is the real deal. This is authentic Cuban food that is as good as the Cuban food easily found all over Miami. We started with croquetas and mariquitas. I ordered the bistec empanizado, hubby ordered the vaca frita, my son ordered the ropa vieja, my MIL orders the palomilla, and my FIL ordered a papa rellena and tamal along with a natural guava juice. We all shared bites of our plates with each other and everyone agreed that everything was absolutely delicious. My favorite was the vaca frita, so I stole a good bit from hubby and I also loved my FIL's guava juice. Service was good, but we got there shortly after opening so we had the place to ourselves. We noticed as it got busier, service definitely slowed considerably, but there was only one server for the whole place and one more handling to go orders. The one server did a fantastic job despite being the only one for multiple tables, but I did notice one couple left in frustration when they were not attended in a timely manner. I loved that they offer a total of 3 sides with the entrees, so you don't have to compromise on sides. I really enjoyed our meal and will be back to try more things on their menu soon. I definitely recommend Cuban Diner, but urge you to pack your patience if you go when there is a crowd. The good news is that the food will be well worth the wait!
