We received outstanding service at City Star Motors during the time on the lot as well as after the…read morepurchase. We were given ample time to inspect the vehicle on the lot by our own mechanic and test drive it couple of times. Upon finding couple of minor issues with the vehicle, the price was adjusted to accommodate those repairs. Price was competitive in comparison to other vehicles available and the dealer fee was significantly lower than in other dealerships. DMV made a mistake in the title and City Star Motors took it upon themselves to correct the DMV error and followed through until new title was delivered providing periodic updates. They could have told us to deal with DMV ourselves, but insisted on taking care of the error for us. You can buy vehicles anywhere, but it is a pleasure to do business with courteous and caring business like City Star Motors.

Where do I even begin…read more.. This place doesn't sell reliable cars -- they sell temporary problems on four wheels. Every vehicle on that lot feels like it's just barely holding itself together, just good enough to get you off the property and into a contract. I've had my car for only 7 months and it completely broke down. Naturally, I assumed it would be covered under warranty. Wrong. Instead of honoring what they promised, they immediately tried to blame everything on me and make me pay out of pocket. It wasn't until I made it clear I was prepared to take legal action that their entire tone changed. And here's where it gets worse..... For an entire month, no one contacted me with updates about my repairs. Not one call. Not one email. I had to chase them down myself. When I finally got answers, I was first told the delay was because "the part hasn't arrived yet." Then -- literally an hour later -- the story changed completely. Suddenly it wasn't about a missing part. Now I'm being told they tried multiple engines and couldn't get the parts to fit. So which is it? The part hasn't arrived? Or you've swapped multiple engines and none of them work? That kind of contradiction doesn't inspire confidence -- it screams disorganization at best and dishonesty at worst. Now their "solution" is to cover it -- but only if I trade into another one of their raggedy, barely-running cars. I test drove several options and every single one felt like it was one speed bump away from falling apart. The tires they swear are "new" are worn. Multiple cars had strange smells. Nothing felt stable. Nothing felt safe. So after months of payments and a month of silence, the end result is me being pushed to trade one piece of junk for another. This isn't just bad customer service. It feels calculated. It feels predatory. It feels like a business model built around pushing unreliable vehicles onto people and hoping they won't question it. Proceed with extreme caution.

I said ok, keep in touch. Well a week later, we got a 2019 Jeep Grand Cheerokee Laerdo. Moises and my family were able to test drive 3 cars and figure out which one we liked and met our budget. Throughout the long day, Moises was personable, friendly, non-aggressive and easy to talk too. The back end guys are usually the issue with the negotiations and price but Moises fought for me as much as he could and after standing my ground, we got a good deal done. After purchasing my vehicle, I later discovered I had been signed up for an Assurant Vehicle Care policy that I clearly refused. Francisco Diaz in finance asked me about the coverage, I told him "NO," and yet it was added anyway -- totaling $959 rolled into my loan. Not only does this increase my payment, but it also feels like I was taken advantage of so someone could get credit or a kickback for adding a policy I didn't authorize. This is exactly the type of behavior that makes people distrust dealerships. On top of that, I was told my $6,000 down payment would have a 2% credit card fee. Instead of being charged $6,120, I was charged $6,180 -- noticeably higher than what I was told. No explanation, no transparency, just more money out of my pocket. Between the unauthorized add-on and the inaccurate fee, I walked away feeling duped, frustrated, and misled. Buyers deserve honesty, not surprise charges and hidden products slipped into their contracts. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a straightforward, trustworthy car-buying experience.

Then when I reached out about repairs that were promised, they made it extremely difficult to get help or honor any commitments. I would strongly warn anyone against buying from this place -- especially higher-end vehicles like an Infiniti -- because they misrepresent cars and don't stand behind what they sell. The owner should of handle and resolve things professionally. He didn't care. Please do your research first. Meeting customers expectations should be the top priority. I have trusted your company. Now, I have to worry about repairs.

I bought a car from marvin motors to be financed in March 2025. I just found out today they have…read morenot paid the finance company one dime!! I called the finance company to ask the payoff and I was told 9 grand.. the car was only 7 grand.They said they haven't received any payments. The car also is a 2012 Toyota corolla and has had problems since I left the lot that they are not willing to fix. I had to buy a new battery the 2nd day, the motor mounts are shot, sway bars and a bunch of other things! Never ever buy a car from Marvin Motors! I am now in court processes.. it's absolutely ridiculous for a 13 year old car! I am furious that I now have to deal with this. So they will pocket your money and never tell you your balance, its impossible to get the paperwork I signed. My mental was already bad now I am absolutely over the edge! Also the payments are twice a month. I wish I never delt with Marvin Motors, it has been an absolute nightmare!!

Inevitably through their misleading statements I made a payment on a vehicle that wasn't in my possession and they offered no other remedy than an apology. Specifically, Nicholas Catano is either uninformed or deceptive and DriveTime as a whole cannot be trusted to do what they say or reasonably ameliorate their error with more than mere words. Complete lack of accountability. No wonder the only five star review is from someone who needed their wheelchair battery recharged!

As a consumer still with bankruptcy, it was not just difficult having to wait to hear back from the bank; a call had to be made from the dealership to the bank, instead of simply denying my trustee's offer. My trustee approved my purchase, in writing, if the APR was lowered. However, they stated that a phone call needed to be made to the trustee. After all the wait, excitement, and false hope, DriveTime stated that my trustee verbally denied the request. To my dismay, my attorney informed me that it wa​s false. There is no way a call was made to my trustee. I can deal with many things; however, lies, I can not accept. Now, again, if you need a car, it is likely you will leave with one; however, if you are in bankruptcy, this is not the place for you. Save your money and purchase a vehicle at a reputable dealership in cash; which is what I am now doing.
