During the pandemic, the Clinic asks clients to use hand sanitizer upon entering, keep their masks on during their visit, which includes treatment, temperature checks and staggered appointments. THIS review is about my Physio treatment with Melissa. I wanted to see Melissa because of her dry needling skills. Melissa completed an assessment of my body, performed treatment and offered me home exercises. Melissa was professional, courteous and efficient. I really enjoyed the compassion and thought in her treatment. I wish I could have expressed that to her, but I was so "blissed out" after the treatment that I didn't. For those of you whom are sensitive or gentle, Melissa regularly checked in with me to ensure I was comfortable. After my treatment, Melissa emailed me a link to an app with specific set of exercises tailor to my needs. I was really impressed with that, and Melissa and the Clinic. I will definitely be returning.

"Most of our employees are vaccinated, but some have declined to share their status," they told me. Given the fact that a disturbing segment of the "wellness" community has embraced Covid and anti-vax conspiracy theories, this is VERY troubling -- especially since most people who refuse to share their vaccine status are almost certainly unvaccinated. It beggars belief that a wellness clinic refuses to impose a vaccine mandate -- thereby putting its clients, it's employees, and the wider community at risk of a deadly plague. Are they prioritizing profits over community safety? It sure seems like it. :-(

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this clinic. I spent a significant amount of time…read morewith the receptionist before booking because I wanted to be absolutely sure I was being matched with the right practitioners for the issues I needed treated. After multiple conversations and callbacks, I was assured they had the appropriate specialists on staff and was booked accordingly. When I arrived, I was shocked to learn that the practitioner I was booked with was not the specialist I had been represented to be seeing, and was not even a fully licensed physiotherapist, but a resident. This was never clearly communicated to me in advance. I do not blame the practitioner personally -- the problem was the clinic's poor booking process, misleading communication, and failure to set accurate expectations. What made the situation far worse was how the clinic handled my complaint afterward. I raised my concerns in person and was told someone would investigate what went wrong and get back to me. No one ever did. I later followed up myself, cancelled my second appointment because I had completely lost confidence in the clinic, and repeatedly asked to speak directly with the owner. The owner refused to speak with me and only communicated through the receptionist. Instead of taking accountability or offering a fair resolution, they told me that if I ever wanted to return, I would have to pay for another full initial appointment all over again. They then tried to present a small discount on a future session as though it were a meaningful gesture, but that "discount" only applied after I first paid for another full initial assessment. In other words, the offer was essentially a trap: spend more money first, then receive a token reduction later, after they had already wasted my time and money the first time. This was a colossal waste of time, energy, and money. What was most unacceptable was not just the original mix-up, but the complete lack of accountability, transparency, and basic customer care afterward. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic.

The facility is super clean. The bathroom is down a flight of stairs, so it is unfortunately not accessible. I go to Paul (RMT) , and he's just fantastic. He's very interested in providing the best massage possible. I've had at least 100+ massages before, because I've had back pain since I was a child and I can say with all honesty that I have never had such amazing deep tissue massages before.

Dr Naeha Sareen did a quick assessment with me and then treated my area of pain. I was really better after getting few cracks. Dr Sareen is very knowledgeable and empathetic. A friend recommended this place to me, and I had consistently gone for over a year for my injury and on an as-needed basis. I usually booked my appointments in the morning before 10am. Because of the location and the number of businesses around it, there was generally only a few close-by parking spots available, although there is also parking off to the side and you'd only need to walk a minute or so to get there. The location itself is very clean with a quiet ambience. They ask you to take your shoes off at the welcome area and you wear one of their sandal-slippers instead so that you aren't tracking in anything. It's also not crowded; whenever I've been, the most I've seen is a couple of people finishing up their sessions. There are many registered massage therapists (RMTs) to choose from. I originally chose to go with Scott because he founded the center as well had the most experience from what I read from the bios. Scott was extremely friendly and professional and was able to figure out what the issue was right away. It took only a few sessions before the full range of motion of my arm returned without pain. I still returned whenever I had other issues come up. Scott is very knowledgeable and was able to answer any question I had relating to massage and health. He's also talkative about any other subject that comes up (if you want to have a chatty session). I have also had a few sessions with Damien when Scott was fully booked. Damien is equally as professional and friendly.

This brings me to why I max out on my massage benefits every year. Aches Away is great especially for their No Frills massages. I can appreciate a relaxing massage with essential oils and spa-type flair, but after about 30 mins I'm a bit bored. The No Frills massage is just that - go in and cater to your needs. Amy is my go-to RMT. I have tried their RMTs, but Amy is brilliant for me because she provides deep-tissue massage and hits pressure points. If I am honest, it hurt quite a lot in the beginning but in the best way. I felt renewed after. Since it is downtown, I typically walk or bike because parking can be a pain. The building is right outside of College station, which is quite convenient.

It took a while to book my initial appointment, but it was worth it. All I want is to get my back cracked, I got that and more. In our first consultation, he checked my mobility and movement and assessed that I have a mild form of mechanical pain. He created a treatment plan of 5 sessions and included exercises that would help develop my core to prevent injury during sport/workouts and improve my posture. He went beyond that by providing a brief high-pressure targeted deep massage at the beginning of the first and each subsequent session. I wouldn't say it's relaxing, but I love the pressure. He'll adjust based on your tolerance though my motto is no pain, no gain, so I take it full on. We worked mainly on my upper, lower and mid-back. *TIP* If you want to work on your back, wear a tank top instead of a strappy sports bra. I've been working on those three exercises he taught me each day. I would say they are easy enough to add to your routine and incorporate daily. Oh and it's always wonderful when a clinic charges directly to my insurance, saves all the pain of admin work.
