I explained that I was leaving town in a week, and was looking for an artist who would be able to design my tat in consultation with me, before doing the actual tattoo. I was told on the phone that Gino was free and would be available for a sit-down consultation, and was given an hourly rate for designing sessions. When I arrived a few days later for my appointment, Gino could not have seemed more rushed and uninterested in me. He dismissed the design as "very simple" and said they he would design it "on the spot" as he was doing the actual tattoo. When I explained that I wanted to first have the tattoo designed and think about it for a few days before coming back to have it done as I had previously explained on the phone (and I was willing to pay him separately for his time spent on the design), he said he did not have time as he had another appointment in 5 minutes, and would send me a sketch over Instagram in the next day or two. I explained that I was leaving town soon, and he said that he would send me a sketch in time so that I could come back to have it done before I left town. I messaged him and he did not get back to me until the night before I was set to leave town. For something as serious and permanent as a tattoo, this felt extremely unprofessional and did not feel personal at all. As someone who has been to and dealt with several other tattoo parlours, I would not recommend Adrenaline Ouest.

Julien sat us down individually and designed the tats effortlessly. It was mind blowing. He then tatted each of us individually (only 1 person allowed upstairs in the tatting area). So we chilled downstairs near the cafe (it's so cool you can get something to drink while you wait). I had a matcha green tea with oat milk, was not good but I drank it. Anyway, I am IN LOVE with my tattoo and Julien did a PHENOMENAL JOB I'M BLOWN!! No after care instructions are given and though I'm not new to tattoos, I've never had the saniderm on after getting tattooed so some after care instructions would have been nice (we had to look up some instructions online). It's cash only so be prepared. They do have an ATM but you will be charged fees by your bank They didn't provide a receipt which was also lowkey annoying but I didn't argue it. I will be getting my next tat with Julien (contact through insta)

The other staff seems friendly as well. Haven't got anywork done by anyone else but, sure they do just as good of a job. The shop otherwise is great if your down there. It's a safe bet.

RACIST ASSAULT AGAINST CLIENT…read more If I could give zero or less stars I would. A couple of days ago I found out that this place had a new apprentice who was doing tattoos for free to advance herself in the field. I went to get one done, the work was decent, athough I had a very aggressive consultation from the head piercer. I was asking questions out of curiosity for pricing on certain piercings and was met with condescending responses rejecting my business. Unfortunately, I had to come back today as two of my friends were going to get the same deal with the new tattoo girl. Once they were finally met by an employee working in the shop, after a very very long wait time, and after getting a copy of my friend Nick's ID they accused him of falsifying the document, and racially profiling him as "mexican" and "black". Nick, clearly was offended by the racial slurs and uncalled for accusations on his identity so took back his stencil he provided that he was going to have tattooed on him saying that the guy acting out of line for Slick Styled Steel was a dumbass, ripped up the stencil and walked out of the shop to meet up with a girlfriend he was there with. Not one but TWO men followed Nick out of the shop and began yelling at him saying "get the fuck out of here now!", Nick turned around and the employee named Alex assaulted him by pushing him into the street. Now, not only is this cause for pressing charges against him for assault, but also, the employee named Alex and the other employee named Jesse were under the impression that Nick was under the age of 18. To me, thats assaulting a minor. This will be going directly to the SPVM as a report of aggravated assault with the intent to harm a minor. This will be the last time any of us will enter this shop for obvious reasons and I would advise any one else to do the same. Thank you for the very extreme altercation that should have never happened in the first place. Racial profiling and assault are never something any business should promote and serious action needs to be taken against all parties involved with Slick Styled Steel.

I had an amazing experience with Pat who did my septum piercing. He was extremely friendly,…read moreprofessional, and made me feel at ease from the moment I stepped in the studio especially since it was my first time getting pierced with a needle (gunned my lobes, my teenage self didn't know better). He walked me through every step of the process and addressed any concerns or questions I had. It goes without saying that the studio was exceptionally clean; gloves were changed every time he handled something different. He's also APP approved. What really impressed me was the great length he went to examine my nose and mark the best placement. After the piercing was done he explained the healing process, how to flip it up/down and tighten the balls, and anything else I was uncertain about. Finally, he had the receptionist sit me down to go through the detailed aftercare instructions (few pages long) to make sure I understood it thoroughly. As soon as I left the studio I knew I had to tell everyone to go to him to get pierced if they're in Montreal. Their prices are pretty high compared to other places but you definitely don't want to be stingy when it comes to piercings (and tattoos). They also only use high quality, internally threaded jewellery by reputable brands like Anatometal and BVLA. Highly recommended!
