You can bring in your own food but no outside alcohol is allowed. Plenty of cheap drinks inside. Lots of places inside to rent or buy floaties, life jackets, masks & snorkels, etc. The water is clear, warm, and beautiful. The family loved spending a day here. Entry is $30 pesos and they will inspect your bags for booze. You can scuba dive here for $750 pesos with no reservations required. At the time of this review, that's about $40 USD. Lots of places to relax, eat, play, etc. I highly recommend visiting and allowing yourself a full day to explore this place. Amazing experience!

Most people that come to Rio Verde always end up at La Media Luna and for a good reason. Also in…read morethe summer it can get pretty crowded (don't say you weren't warned). The water here is warm, amazingly clear and practically still. You get in for about 2 USD and they have plenty of stalls selling foods/concessions. If you got past the the people there are empty areas with super deep water. So take someone with you.
