I had a tattoo done early in the summer at the edge tattoo in south windsor by a guy named Kevin who completely messed my tattoo it looked terrible. I was so embarrassed to even show it. It was my first tattoo so i did not do all my research like i should have. So having a messed up tattoo was partly my fault for not looking into it first. Long story short after much looking and researching i found ironically a guy named Kevin at guideline tattoo that assured me that he could fix it and make my tatt look so much better. It took me a while to actually go back and get it fixed i was so scared that i would end up with a messed up tattoo after this there was no turning back it would have to stay like what ever it ended up looking like. Well i am so happy to say wow I ended up with such a good tattoo Kevin was so nice and willing to work with me to make me happy with my tattoo. I let him know this was going to be my only tatt i was not going to get anymore! He honestly worked so hard on it to make it look like what i wanted it to look like. I know it is not easy to fix up someones tattoo specially when it is so messed up. I finally love my tattoo and it is not even finished yet i still have to go back and have him put the color on. I would also like to inform everyone that the tattoo that i had before many tattoo artists did not even want to fix it. They just told me to cover it up with something different, others told me that they could try to fix it but the face could never be fixed because it was already so messed up. Well thankfully Kevin was able to fix the face and everything else. I will post a pic when the tattoo is finished.

Went there to get Venus piercing (back piercing) and they pierced my back unevenly. Top of earring came off of my piecing and I went back to get them to remove the piece in my back. Lady charged me $20 only to tell me she couldn't remove it and to go to a dermatologist. WHY???? Shouldn't they know how to remove piercing they did? And what will the dermatologist do? I wouldn't honestly suggest not to go to Pelican Tattoo due to the unprofessionalism and rudness of the people working there. Beware and stay away because they don't care. I will go to another tattoo salon to get it removed.

My tattooing experience is not very broad. Although I have six tattoos, I've only been to two…read moreshops. When I find an artist who does clean work that matches the vision of what I wanted why would I go anywhere else. At Goodspeed, George, Jeremy and Clarissa interact like you are visiting them at home. The decor of the shop is eclectic. The music is surprising. George has done 4 of my six tattoos. Once you develop a level of trust with an artist, getting ink done is much more enjoyable. On my most recent visit I brought my daughter for her first tattoo. Both of us are super happy with how the tattoos came out. Goodspeed is a great little local shop for getting your ink done. But a tattoo shop is not a salon or preschool. Be ready for the chaotic energy that goes with artists creating permanent pieces of art on people's bodies. I don't have plans for any new work, yet. But when I do, Goodspeed is where I will go.
