That's…read morebecause it has a dated, unstylish and cluttered display window with very ordinary unstitched outfits on mannequins. However, if you venture to go inside, you'll find that the shop front does it no justice. They have suits ranging from as little as £5 to around £100. They tend to be synthetic fabrics and the heaviest embroidery will be sequin or thread work. However, some of their prints and styles are very unique and eye-catching. The owner is a gentle middle-aged man who is very polite and courteous to his customers. His workers are equally as accommodating and offer great customer service. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for bulk suits to gift at weddings or if you prefer simple Asian suits yourself.

This is a strange little place, but it's worth popping your head around the door to have a look…read more Essentially it's a dress repair and alterations business, as the window display and name of the shop would suggest. You can see a seamstress or two working away at the back of the shop. I've never had a dress altered there since I don't own or wear dresses, but what makes this shop interesting to visit is that recently it has started doubling up as an self-titled 'Indoor Car Boot Sale'. There is a baffling array of bric-a-brac, toys, books and clothes for sale that make it look like the store room of a charity shop. You'll need to dig amongst the organised chaos to find anything, but it's a nice place to go hunting for an oddity. My son likes to mooch about in here and often finds a small toy or some other thing that he likes the look of, and these can be picked up for a few pence.

At first glance the dress shop is exactly what you would expect, a shop which deals with the…read moreselling of and alteration of beautiful women's dresses. However, on closer inspection of this Raddlebarn road business there is far more than meets the eye. Inside there are all sorts of strange knick knacks which appear to be the kind of things more akin to a charity shop or perhaps some sort of bric a brac sale. If you look hard enough there's always something pleasing and the novelty of the whole experience makes a visit to the dress shop quite unforgettable. There can't be too many stores around doubling up in this manner so for that reason alone this place is worth a look.

My experience with Aman's by Sam has been absolutely unacceptable…read more I placed my order at the end of June with a promised delivery date of end of July. As the deadline approached, I politely texted to ask if my outfit was ready (well before the due date), but received no reply. Despite weeks of calling, texting, and messaging on Instagram, I was ignored. The only way I could eventually get through was on WhatsApp (which, while listed, should not be the only way a customer can reach someone). She would always say "I'll call you back," yet she never once did. Unless I called again myself, nothing happened. I often had to call in the evenings because that's when I was free -- but only because she never once called me back during working hours as promised. And when I did get through, there was always another excuse: she was away, sick, sleeping, or with family. That is not professional service -- that is avoidance. After endless chasing, I was finally told my order was still not ready. Two weeks later, only part of my order was sent. When I received the package, it was missing one blouse -- yet she insisted that both blouses had been included. After going back and forth, she even made me speak directly to her tailor, who claimed he had already sent it. I explained again that I had not received it, and she said she would update me shortly. On Saturday, after I requested another update, she finally sent me a photo of a blouse with the words: "It was here, I post today." No apology, no acknowledgment of the stress caused. Then on Monday, I was told they were "closed Mondays" and it would be posted the next day. When I questioned this, since she had already said it was sent Saturday, her vague response was: "I ask my tailor." The contradictions just proved the dishonesty. When I asked for proof of postage, she had also sent me a receipt showing two tracking numbers, claiming the order had been split into two parcels. But when I checked, I found the second number belonged to another customer entirely -- complete with their postcode and door number. Not only was this dishonest, but it was also a serious breach of another customer's privacy. Finally, on 3rd September at 11:25, after yet another phone call requesting an update, she admitted that my blouse had in fact been sent to the other individual and that the photo she had previously sent me was not even my blouse. When I explained my frustration and reminded her I had asked for a simple apology, she excused her earlier rudeness by saying she was "with her in-laws," which is not a valid reason to insult a paying customer. She also clarified that her message actually meant I "need to get my head tested" (not "teased"), which is even more offensive. Only at this point did she finally apologise -- but it was dismissive, rushed, and clearly only to get off the phone, not to take any responsibility. The fact remains that after paying in full (plus extra for the second blouse), I am still waiting months later. I have been lied to, ignored, contradicted, made to speak with her tailor, sent false tracking numbers, given another customer's details, insulted, and only offered a dismissive apology after confronting her. Blouse has finally been sent yesterday. This has been a nightmare from start to finish. First and last time shopping here -- and I strongly advise others to stay away. All communication was with the owner. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Remained respectful towards her the whole time yet she has no professionalism. Proof attached
