The garden centre great, the café on the other hand is run by idiots with no idea how to run a tea party let alone a birthday party my daughter had a birthday party with teacup cake making as a finally there, the staff at first was great promising the world saying if we went over 10 she would hire in a extra, we went over, phone days in advance to give them time and no extra on the day, we arrived and nothing was ready, we had to get the table and chairs from the staff room, blow up balloons and set the table (something which we paid for!) the food was late the plates was not getting cleared from the tables was groining under the weight and they managed to drop a large platter of food, but has spoken to the manager from which the reply was "Can't you see we are busy?" daughter told to sort it or she would not be paying the balance(paid £65 deposit)the manager then got the contract and screwed it up in my daughters face and said "contract void, I will now let other people in" so we quickly sang happy birthday to the birthday girl(who im glad to say did not notice what was going on) the parents! did and they all said they will never go there again!
we did complain to the head office and we got all our money back,
we also made a trip to tescos and made our own cup cakes. read more
