I would strongly not recommend Royer Body Shop. There service is unprofessional & unacceptable! How…read moreI was treated was beyond shocking & it doesn't seem like it will be changing anytime soon. The owner Joe Royer did apologize for how we were treated but didn't seem to be doing anything to change how his front staff handles herself. The work they did on our truck will also have to be fixed by another shop. I hope no one else ever has to deal with what we had to! Hope this review helps you with making a better choice then we did.

I am a 22 year old female. I recently took my car to Royer's Body Shop after occurring front end…read moredamage. AAA Car Insurance recommends this body shop for Burlington Iowa residents. The owner gave me the repair estimate that listed all parts replaced. One of these parts was the air conditioner condenser. I informed the owner that I wanted to test drive my car before paying the deductible and allowing insurance to pay the rest. He told me I could not do this as I might steal the car. He asked if he could have my credit card while I drove the car. I said no. I refused to sign paperwork or pay unless I was allowed to test drive the car and make sure all parts were operational. He relented. During the test drive, I realized the air conditioner did not work, yet the estimate stated it was replaced. I confronted the owner about this fact and he said the part was replaced and new. I asked him if anyone drove my car after the repairs were done to make sure they worked and he said "no." They state they replaced the oil pan. When I checked the oil it was a half court too low. He denied this was possible and said I was on an incline driveway. My car is turbo and requires full synthetic oil. I asked him what type of oil was put in the car and he replied, "I don't know." I told him I needed proof about what kind of oil he put in it. He should know it takes full synthetic but I did not tell him this...I want to see if he actually put synthetic oil in the car. I told him to fix the air conditioner and the oil type and I was not paying for repairs until I knew it was working. A few hours later I got a voicemail from the owner telling me the air conditioner condenser had a hole in it. If it was a brand new condenser and was replaced...it would not have a hole in it...they were dishonest on their repair and insurance claim. What else was not fixed? What else did they lie about? They were going to collect insurance payment for a part that was not replaced. This is dishonest, unethical and criminal. Do not take your car here, do not pay for repairs until you get it checked by a second party..once you pay them and discover the problems later....you cannot have it covered.

I get it back with the check engine light on, a half flat tire, a gap between the fender and hood of half an inch and the passive entry on the drivers side didn't work. I take it back. They fix the door and check engine light They say the hood I have to live with because it was an aftermarket bumper. I call bullshit. Bottom line is I wouldn't let these people work on a tricycle. And if I was Brad Deery I would be ashamed to have my name on the side o 06f that building. There is oil all of the bottom of the engine they didn't clean up.You have one chance to make a first impression., I gave them 2.And they failed.A $15000 repair bill . And it looks like the work of a second grader. I would give them 0 stars if that was an option. And the bumper was out together wrong, that's why the gap in the hood. Total incompetency. The paint did match. Other than that. That's all they got right. I have never seen such shit work in my life.

The service dept at Deery Bros. passed me off to their certified Toyota technician's voicemail where I never got a call back. A week later I called and talked to another service rep that took all of my car info. She said she'd have to order needed parts and would call back later to set up an appointment for the airbag recall and two other TSB's. Meanwhile, I went to Deery's Collision Center for an estimate to have an old front end crash repaired, body & paint touched up and a broken R.H. headlamp assembly replaced. While they were at it, the windshield needed replacement and a fresh set of lamps for the turn signals and headlights. I was paying out of pocket and left $1,000 deposit to get the ball rolling. A couple days later Deery Collision called to have my car dropped off for said repairs. Later that afternoon I got a call saying my car was ready. No Way. That same morning, I called the NHTSA hot line to see what was happening with my airbag recall & TSB repairs. The lady from NHTSA called Deery Bros., West Burlington and found out that their Toyota Certified technician had walked off the job several days ago and that their wasn't a Toyota Certified technician working on staff at Deery Collision either. Basically, Deery Collision removed the plastic front end, replaced BOTH headlight assemblies (after I told them to only replace the broken right side) and each front light capsule. Deery didn't bother to straighten any of the damaged sheet metal beneath the plastic covering, so the right headlamp assembly was left in a bind with a mounting bolt missing cos it didn't line up. The grill was still popped out, and now it took two people to raise the hood that was left in a bind. Underneath the car, a handful of blind pop rivets were utilized instead of the proper fasteners to hold the plastic together. They totally botched the job up. Talking to, Brad Deery, was like talking to Pontius Pilate washing his hands. He turned the matter over to, Justin, the body shop manager, who in turn said I should take my car to Mike Campbell's because he couldn't squeeze my car in for another three weeks. Justin said he couldn't give me a refund for the headlight I didn't need. I suppose I could go through small claims court trying to reclaim the cost of a $300+ headlight capsule I didn't need. What a way to do business. The one star grade is way above the ''Not Worth Two Dead Flies" way I feel. By the way, Justin, Cory Campbell, did fantastic work on my xB and fixed each of your screw ups. Thanks for the recommendation.
