We are buying a home, which is…read morestressful enough but when we walked in to close the closer had a bit of a chip because she literally just received the documents a few minutes ago... not our fault. Then we had to resign some things because they charged us for an appraisal we already paid for, again not our fault... THEN the icing on the cake two weeks after closing, I'm getting calls from debtors wanting to know where their payments are that I was told the title company would pay through closing! They sent the checks to the lender... now I spoke to another title company who said we used to have debts out in the week after closing... and they never sent to the lender to pay but the title company themselves paid...and today they are arguing back and forth with the lender on whose fault it is instead of thinking of the CUSTOMER who now has debtors calling... both have the attitude not our job and I'm upset. If you can have a say in your title company, do. They are snooty, rude, unappreciative, snarky, and apparently don't EVER make mistakes... this was our first closing and they completely took the happy away from this moment.

For some reason, I decided to give David a call back and give him a chance. We are glad we did. This was our first home that we bought and navigating through a sellers' market is tough. We were able to get our house without getting into a bidding war even though we were in a multi offer situation. To add another complex layer, the house didn't appraise with the initial lender and David suggested creative solutions (with serendipitous timing of other factors) to try to make the house we wanted work. We successfully closed (early in terms of the extension of our contract date yesterday) and we're excited to have new beginnings in our new home. Thanks David.
